Idk if you've seen Goodfellas or Casino but this is the same director. They have the same kind of exciting pace in the storytelling and the editing.

Martin Scorsese had to negotiate and edit the sex scenes to get the lesser R or restricted rating. 14 total minutes of sex or nude scenes were edited out of the final version to achieve the Restricted rating. The drug use and profanity was mostly left unchanged.
