Apparently Patreon is experiencing a higher than normal number of card declines, this month. Who knows why. I know from experience sometimes CC processors are strange. If you find yourself declined for whatever reason, you can try to recreate your pledge or move to another payment, or clear it as non-fraud with your bank or something.

2018-08-02 18:46:35 +0000 UTCThat’s what happened to me. It wouldn’t let me just update the expiration date and CVV so I had to add another payment method, transfer the memberships, delete the old card, add the same card with updated info, and transfer back. Bit of a hassle but got it sorted.

2018-08-02 18:34:27 +0000 UTCAlso, quite a few cards hit their 'renewal' dates, and folks forget they have to update their expiration date and CVV codes wherever they have automatic transactions. Hmmm ... hope I wasn't one of those! I'll have to go check!

2018-08-02 18:13:19 +0000 UTCMost recent reason that I've heard is that patreon moved part or all of its business to the UK, so charges are being marked as suspicious activity by banks.
