What is your opinion on ai art?

(I realize this is a touchy subject right now, and I do want you to answer genuinely! I will not be offended by your opinion.)

A combo of 2 and 3: using their own art and things that are in the public domain. I think the people who made the AI should have used only public domain information (and the "classic" artists and such) to train their algorithms on, or hired people to make references specifically for the art bot.

2023-09-08 04:19:10 +0000 UTCI'm concerned with all the art stealing that goes into informing those AI engines. (I literally know people it's happening to.) Even if a person isn't using the stolen art, using the apps that do the stealing supports those practices. But I don't have any strong feelings about it other than that.
