Happy New Year! (Blog post! Updates!)

Happy New Year everyone! (Yes, I am a couple days early lol). I wanted to give you a nice little blog update as well as a big fat THANK YOU for this wonderful year on patreon. The majority of you have been here through the whole of 2022, and I can't thank you enough for sticking around. Those of you who have joined later in the year are equally as appreciated because you have continued to make my life easier with your support! Seeing my patreon income slowly climb over the year has taken a lot of stress off of me-- like you wouldn't believe actually. I'm so glad that my hard work is paying off and, more importantly, that you guys are enjoying the content <3

Overall 2022 was a pretty solid year for me. Like everyone, I've had some ups and downs, but as a whole I think things have been largely GOOD. Which... in today's world, I know how lucky I am to be able to say that. Things are expensive, people are   crazy, and life's a crap chute... So, here's to making it through! *clinks champagne flute*

Couple noteworthy things I want to inform you guys about, so you know what's in store for the month of January (and overall next year).

FIRST - The TLLT physical copy looks pretty fantastic! I know I made a quick post about it a few days ago, but I want to explain what's going to happen next. Over the next week I will be doing some research on similar funded Kickstarters to get an idea of what I want to do for mine, as well as fair pricing, goals, etc. I will also be making a few edits to the book, now that I can see where certain things don't look quite right (this is all very minor stuff, like the size of certain text bubbles, or a few panels that need to be brightened for better print quality). After those two tasks are done, I will begin making graphics and advertisements for the Kickstarter page (hopefully won't take long). And then I will be finalizing/launching it! 

My birthday is on January 14th, and I think I'm going to use that as a goal for launching it. >:) If I end up being super productive and things go smoothly it could be sooner, but yeah! Definitely in 1-2 weeks!

SECOND - This is for those of you who support me as a 10$ pledge! For the year of 2021 and 2022 I have done exclusive NSFW artwork for all the post-cards. And I DO plan on continuing that this year! 

Throughout 2022, you've been getting two NSFW images per month-- one being the PREVIOUS years (2021's) illustration posted digitally, and the second being the exclusive post card sent out in the mail, as well as posted digitally. Now that all of 2021's NSFW illustrations have been posted, I think what I am going to try and do is give you guys 1 NSFW sketch a month, and 1 fully illustrated NSFW postcard a month. I don't want to guarantee this quite yet, because I need to see how it fits into my workflow, but ultimately I will be shooting for 2 exclusive NSFW rewards. I hope that makes sense!

ALSO REMINDER TO ANYONE WHO MAY HAVE RECENTLY SIGNED UP TO BE A 10$ PLEDGE. IF YOU WANT TO RECIEVE THE PHYSICAL, SIGNED POST CARDS IN THE MAIL, YOU DO NEED TO GIVE ME YOUR MAILING ADDRESS (Send my a private message!) IF YOU DON'T WANT TO RECIEVE PHYSICAL MAIL AND ARE HAPPY WITH JUST DIGITAL REWARDS, THAT'S OKAY TOO.

THIRD - I have decided that I am taking a year off from my conventions in 2023. This is mostly a personal choice I made because of multiple things... (Travel is expensive, I haven't been able to dedicate myself to making new merch lately, the economy sucks so I expect sales to also suck, and I'd like to actually take some REAL vacation time this year). But for you guys, it just means that I probably won't be missing as many updates do to travel. Lol. All in all, I just want to focus on TLLT :) That's not a bad thing, right? 

FOURTH AND LAST - Sorry, this blog post is getting hefty lol. The last thing I wanted to mention, is that I got a new tattoo the other day. It was a sort-of-unexpected decision on my part, but the artist I like here had some free time and I've been debating getting THIS particular tattoo for a while. It's periwinkles! (See above) for, yup, you guessed it, Periwinkle Blue. My previous comic that I lost a lot of love for and stopped creating in 2020. Originally, I was not going to get the tattoo for this story... but over time I've come to accept that fact that even "failures" make up who we are. And PB was a huge part of my life for FOUR years. That's gotta count for something, right? Getting this tattoo feels a little bit like forgiving myself, and that is something I think I need to be better at in general LOL.
