Chaos Talisman (Blackwater): All

Greetings All!

This is the last of the 3 items planned for the Blackwater DND team. This being an iconic item from their Campaign with a deep story.

This item dates back to the very early days of BlackwaterDnD's main campaign, and is now a mainstay item the party uses at least once a session! They uncovered the heinous plot of Zakas of Siral and his Agents of Chaos to rip a hole in the material plane and unleash the chaos of the elements for his own bidding. Each agent was hunted down and then confronted Zakas in the Battle of Wulfrene. Though they managed to slay both Zakas and his Chaos Elemental, it was not without cost. Their monk, Torren Blackwater, died on the battlefield and chose not to be revivified. In the wake of the battle, this talisman formed and serves as a reminder of his sacrifice for the greater good. The party also adopted his last name as the name of their group, in homage to him.

This talisman also has the tendency to make usually rational people do chaotic things, which is why Blackwater's cleric, Nepentha, carries it around her neck at all times. For more info about the Elemental Chaos Arc, go check out BlackwaterDnD's History and Lore section on YouTube!

Description:

Tales say this was created in the aftermath of the volatile explosion of a Chaos Elemental summoned by a powerful wizard intent on destroying the material plane. These four shards fused together, albeit unstably, in the form of a talisman.

Tabs:

• As an Action, the user is able to cast the Plane Shift spell to Elemental Planes of Earth, Air, Fire and Water and their corresponding demiplanes (Ice, Ooze, Ash, Magma, Sand, Steam). Once this feature is used, it cannot be used again until the next Dawn.
• While worn, the Chaotic energy fueling the Talisman will affect the wearer, altering them in specific ways.
  • The user is drawn towards more Chaotic Alignment and choices.
  • Wisdom Checks may be raised in DC as per GM Discretion.
