Gemmed Dragon Blade: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

3rd Item of Patreon Week, and I am truly thankful for the pledges. This is a pair mate to yesterday’s ring, and I am quite happy with the little twist it made on the norm. It really was a fun time working in the hints of gem and materials from the ring..

This, like the ring before it, was inspired by a Gem Dragon theme put forward. I really enjoy how it develops both items into a low tier legendary and almost its own subclass. I hope you enjoy it too!

Description:

This blade looks more constructed than forged. Long stretches of darkened silver and steel trail along this massive jagged amethyst. It’s constructed to attach an angular hilt and make it passable as for a sword. The raw aspect of the jagged blade edge would give anyone an element of doubt before crossing it. This fearsome aspect pays homage to its namesake.

Tabs:

• This weapon grants an additional +1 to attack and damage rolls.
• Gem Forged: This sword holds 3 Charges and regains 1d4 Charges every Dawn, and they can be expended in the following ways.
• Extended Shards: 1 Charge, as a Bonus Action. The user can focus on the blade, causing the gems to grow into a more jagged formation dealing an additional +1d8 Force Damage on hit until dismissed or the user drops the blade.
• Shard Spray: If Extended Shards is active, as a Bonus Action, the user can eject the shard out in a 15ft cone. The area also becomes difficult terrain for 1 minute. When a creature moves into or within the area, it takes 1d4 Force damage for every 5 feet it travels.

Gemskin: 2 Charges, the user’s chest and neck are covered in chunks of amethyst, as if they had cast the stoneskin spell. They must still maintain ‘concentration’ as if concentrating on a spell.
