I am a sucker for Tinkerer gear, and this is no exception. I wanted something that acted as a lightning rod and a weapon for those brave enough to catch some of the storm. Not as as strong as some spells that do similar, it still is a reliable output and a low level option for those of a creative sort.
I wanted to invoke some of the strangeness of the 1950s Sci-Fi and Tesla Coils of a steampunk era in color and presentation. I hope some of that made it across.
Thoughts always welcome, I do appreciate how you feel about some of the uniquer items.
