This is a homage, almost a week ago the world was made aware of the sudden passing of Kentarou Miura. As an influence, and pillar of inspiration since my formative years, it has had a lasting effect on me. I still remember the first time that I read through Berserk, reading the latest chapter just recently, and all the years between. Its influence on my art is apparent, and something I hold dear.
I wanted to give a small nod to the icon, and render my take on the Dragon Slayer. A sword that has been cutting swatches through apostles since 1988, and a huge influence on many of us. I wouldn’t necessarily call it completely balanced, but it was forged to slay the unkillable. So a cleaving sword that challenges god hands, seems on par with a ring that grants reality altering wishes.
