Okay, hear me out: I don't like that for Axel (especially because it's hinted that Axels past isn't all sunshine and happiness; and no, i don't think he was behind Onyxs' outing). I don't know how Kai can still turn things around. I don't think it's really possible, or at least I can't think of a way. At this point I'm to invested in the story, so don't come at me with "don't like don't read". But please: stop romanticizing this. It's coercion and at this point, Axel hasn't a real chance. I hope Kai feels really shitty at some point.

He has been told multiple times he makes his next payment or he'll get fucked up worse. He's already pretty fucked up so what do you think worse would be exactly?

Axel never would have brought it up if Kai hadn't first. This was never on the table for Axel until Kai made the offer. Axel and I made choices that weren't really choices in the end.

"you open yourself up to criticism" and that's ok but acting like police/puritans doesn't help to freedom of speech. it's censoring, it's shutting up people. heck, I like darker themes, exploring the worst part of humans and I watch horror movies, who are famous for not being cute nor family friendly. it's not that people aren't allowed to feel iffy about dark romance, it's that y'all act too much on the red or green flag boxes and humans are not boxes and are way more complex. irl and in fiction, since y'all cannot make the distinction.
