How is everyone?
After uploading the latest episode yesterday, I saw a lot of you asking about our main boys, Onyx & Keane! I totally get it.. it’s been a while! 😌
Originally, I planned to focus on Axel & Kai for a few more episodes before switching back to Onyx & Keane, just to keep the pacing smooth. As of now, I’ve already written three more episodes with Axel & Kai before the next Onyx & Keane update ❤️
BUT I can adjust things and go back to Onyx & Keane sooner if that’s what you’d prefer! It wouldn’t disrupt the story too much, so I thought I’d let you guys decide ✨
No matter what, Onyx & Keane are coming back VERY soon with lots of exciting stuff! This is just a fun way to see what you all would like more 😊

And I didn’t demand anything from the author. I simply said I would’ve gone away if I could. Which I have the right. I have read some bls b4 and many don’t have side couples or the side couple story is wrapped up in 1-2 episodes/pages or if I enjoy the couple then I stay .. I know I didint invest my money properly here that’s why I’m regretting. While I do appreciate Pasta personality, their story, Art improvement, imagination, I’m not enjoying the side couple so I want to go but bcuz I paid for it I feel it’s a shame not to read it. Which is my opinion, in my life.

2025-02-18 03:52:18 +0000 UTCOk! That’s also an angle. But— 1. In previous chapters, Kai said on the phone that he didn’t want to do « this » job. He didn’t even know it was Axel at the time. It was « purely » family business pressure. Realizing it didn’t change much to the fact that he had to do his « job ». 2. (Still in previous chapters), Kai said openly that he had to do it. Otherwise, it would have been much worse for Axel who didn’t have the money at the time. Then he gave up on explaining himself, because, anyway, he knew that he would be judged and seen as the bad guy regardless. Ironically, that’s a bit what happens in the comments (🤔). 3. Kai « invading » Axel’s personal space is solely the fault of both Keane and Onyx being extremely dense and oblivious of their mutual feelings (thanks LORD, we are over this agony). « Let’s switch rooms since you hurt yourself because of me… » (of course 🙄😏…) While Kai didn’t particularly think of how frightening it could be for Axel to have him in a shared room, his initial intentions were solely based on helping Onyx as his friend. Kai & Axel’s interactions are far from the friendly ones and that makes totally sense considering both backgrounds. Nonetheless, Kai cares… like a lot (i.e, sending food). With Axel’s defensive behavior (which is not surprising too), his arrogant attitude seems to be the only way for them to exchange for now. I’m not trying to defend anything nor do I deny that both characters have a doubtful morality. It is twisted because it kinda portrays a oppressor/victim dilemma though none of them are Saint, lol. But I think people are overly « emotional » over these two. If not being triggered for personal reasons, then it’s just bad faith. Let us see how the story goes along with the author’s script 🤷🏽✨

I hope that makes sense, I personally struggle a little to remember what is going on after so long since the episodes are 1 a week and it's been like 3 weeks since we've heard about them. I'm aware that in their world it's only been like one night and day but knowing that it will be another 3 weeks before we hear about them again does kinda bum me out only in the sense that by the time I see it I'll probably be very confused by it at first lol But ultimately it's your story so however you post it, I will read it. :)

But some ppl here literally demanding them back or calling the subscription a waste of money, like guys stop 😭 if Pasta is reading ALL of those comments, this can make them feel really bad. They'd get burned out and you won't get any story at all. Also the story might become boring or end very quickly, if it's only about two characters and nothing else. Pasta is doing good storytelling here and if you only come for one or two characters, then maybe next time you should think before investing into a webtoon story. Onyx and Keane are still the MCs, obviously. If you don't like Kai and Axel, then come back in 3 weeks to see them again. Because of comments like that artists can feel very insecure or even burned out. So please just stop being so rude. also, the membership here really isn't that expensive, depending on what membership you have, you always see Onyx and Keane in the AUs as well, even if the main story is about Kai and Axel atm

That’s what I’m paying for. I support artists and their craft, not for them to just give in to the audience’s demands and write the story to how you want. I support their creative liberty and I won’t ever ask for an artist to change if it doesn’t work with what I envisioned. We should be more supportive and show the author some love. Maybe next time just pay the monthly membership, read on Webtoons for free, or don’t read at all if you don’t like it 🤷🏻♀️

He slashed Axel’s face, invaded his personal space and removed any sense of safety he could have found, then lead him around like an animal, and now is goading him into over reacting to which I can only imagine will cause things to get worse. Like how would you like it if your attacker suddenly started living with you? Where you’re supposed to sleep. Kai and Axel are both shitty people, I’m sure a redemption arc is in the works, but both of them are unlikable in so many ways.

I read this series on Webtoon for free since it started and could only just afford the patreon so I get it, you loved the mains and commited a year. I think the audience is missing a lot about Kai and Axel's dynamic. Its not a love plot, its a self discovery plot about sexuality and they are both by definition the villians of each others stories. Even if its hate to love, which is hella toxic, it would take so long to get there based on Pasta's narrative with Keene and Onyx

Like, they’re mostly influenced by a trend of other comments? For those who say « it’s too toxic », it’s personal sensitivity to contents, and it’s okay. But then, part of me is kinda surprised that having to cross-dress with the risk of a homophobic/abusive father that will go to the length of hitting a bottle on his son’s head (while being uncertain about feelings, just for my bf to get the girl he wants to date) was not considered as toxic 🥲 Now…. For those who claim that they didn’t pay for that… this is exactly what you paid for, lol— and I’m sorry to be that blunt. You paid for a story, a plot, an universe where there is Onyx and Keane… and whoever will be needed to be drawn to contribute to this story. Perhaps Pasta could have blended both stories in the 3 previous chapters a bit more « fluently » so everyone could have had more moments of Onyx & Keane and not being cut off so abruptly 🤭 buuuuut there we are. I get that the original plot was about Onyx and Keane, but the author can’t *realistically* draw about them 24/7. There has to be some sort of other characters’ dynamic to create an in-depth immersion in the world they created. It’s season 2 my people! Again you couldn’t realistically be out there hoping to ONLY see about the boys. Give the mic to other MCs 🤣

I really wanna read this webtoon as YOU planned because this is YOUR story that I've loved for many years and I don't want you to change anything because some other people don't like it. If you don't like their story, the way they want to tell it, no one is forcing you to be here. But you definitely shouldn't be calling their work a waste of money, that's incredibly rude.

I do understand this is how you want it to be told I guess i was just a little hurt when we finally made it to where we want to be with the main couple, and where about to see the results of that and then all the sudden it's like it completely switched gears and they haven't existed basically for the last handful of time. I am still happy to be subscribed to the tier I am and 3 weeks won't change that, but I thought after we finally got the two together that we would start seeing the 100% gay teir get some canonical action for them sooner rather than later

Just means I have to keep anticipating for a couple more weeks!! 😅😭

It makes me sick to see them, and its not what i signed up for. I know some people like it and thats cool but i signed up for keane and onyx, their cute dramatic story. 2025-02-17 17:34:54 +0000 UTCi’m sure you’ve seen my comments on your last post 😭 i’m not trying to be rude to people but oh my goddddd it makes me so upset when people bash on your work just because they want onyx and keane back. “i didn’t sign up for this why am i paying for something i don’t want!!!1!1” then… stop subscribing? just go back to webtoon and read for free. i completely understand what they’re feeling - i really miss onyx and keane too, and i do prefer them in the long run. but we should all still appreciate your work and the time you put into the recent eps and POLITELY express our want for the other boys back. not just “bring back onyx and keane i don’t like this pairing” like… it feels super insensitive :( most people that read this story can’t even fathom how long it takes for you to make this content for us

I’ll admit I’m more invested in the main couple so I’ll probably dip out and come back in 3weeks when the story is back to them. Kai and axel are an interesting couple. I think I would’ve preferred their arc after the main couple finished/things were resolved. But that’s just personal preference. It’s not a bad thing if you want to spend a few weeks with them now.

I'd rather you finish the next three episodes with Kai and axel and then go back to onyx and Keane as you originally intended
