Going to see a movie
Added 2019-05-29 21:49:53 +0000 UTCIt's really kind of odd to be saying this, and you might think so too unless you keep reading. But my significant other and I are going to see a movie this weekend, and I'm really excited. I honestly can't remember the last time we actually went to a theater.
The reason this is so out of the ordinary for us is because due to her condition, sitting in any seat for extended periods of time causes her excruciating pain. As you might imagine, this makes going to the movies less than enjoyable, and something that we actually avoid. What's sad is that we both enjoy movies and all things pop culture immensely, but end up being extremely behind the times when it comes to the latest releases as we usually have to resort to catching whatever happens to be available via streaming or digital release.
But yesterday, she actually ASKED ME if I wanted to go see a movie this weekend. This is huge. Because not only does it mean we get to do something we enjoy together, it means that she is feeling well enough to suggest this on her own initiative. I am so happy!

2019-05-30 00:17:31 +0000 UTCThat's a good question, really. She does. The issue really is extended periods of sitting. It's kind of a no-win situation, but car trips, flights, and anything where you can't reposition as needed is quite painful.
