Power After the Pause (short story)

Power After the Pause—Menopause!
Written by SteeleBlazer

The #1 Habit to Start When You're in Menopause, According to an OBGYN and a Physical Therapist
By Jennifer Armstrong

They’ll tell you menopause is about hot flashes, hormone drops, and brittle bones. And sure, the science checks out. But what they don’t always tell you? It’s also the perfect time to become the strongest version of yourself—literally.

You don’t have to grow weaker as you grow older, and you don’t have to shrink. You can actually grow bigger and stronger. You just need a bit of steel in your veins—and with a little bit of hard work (because let’s face it, nothing good is ever easy), and a whole lot of pumping iron, you’ll find nothing is as rewarding as putting in the effort and forging a steely hardbody.

No, we’re not talking about a light stretch and some calming yoga flows (though those are great too). We’re talking biceps that bulge, quads that command respect, and a back so broad it casts shade over outdated gender norms. In other words, we’re talking mighty female muscles. Muscles bigger and stronger than any man’s—and we’re not just talking about your husband’s, but men half your age, with arms half your size. In no time, you’ll be building great big softball-sized biceps—but believe us, there is nothing soft about those biceps.

According to OBGYN Dr. Maxine Mass and physical therapist Gina Gainwright, resistance training is the #1 habit to start during menopause. But while they’re focused on benefits like bone density and metabolic health (which are important), let’s not forget the side effects no one warns you about:

·        Opening your own pickle jars without batting an eye

·        Out-lifting men half your age—and watching them blush

·        Being able to carry all the groceries in one trip, and your husband too (if he gets sassy—or let’s face it, just gets sleepy and tired)

·        A libido just as strong as your muscles—and stronger, of course, than any man’s

·        Saying goodbye to your bingo arms and hello to big, bulging biceps

·        Walking through the gym in yoga pants, watching jaws drop and heads twist round and round—until they nearly twist off

·        Never needing sweaters again—because your rock-hard hardbody muscles keep you warmer than ever. You’re totally hot in more ways than one, and you’ll want to show them off anyway (talk about a win-win)

·        Settling any argument with your husband or significant other through arm wrestling—because who needs words when you’ve got mighty female muscles?

As Dr. Maxine Mass says, “We create mechanical stress on our bones. That stress tells our bone-forming cells to get to work.” Translation? Every curl, press, and deadlift isn’t just strength-building—it’s transformation. Not just of your body, but your confidence, your presence, and your power.

The more you lift, the better you’ll feel—and the stronger you get. A lot of husbands even comment on how much they love the changes in their wives’ bodies. They love how the muscles feel. It transforms your body and your relationship, and you’ll be empowered and stronger than ever in both.

A lot of people think that muscle loss as you age is unavoidable. But those are the same people who happen to think women are the weaker sex. They’re wrong on both counts. Just ask Dr. Gina Gainwright.

“Muscle loss during menopause?” Gainwright scoffs. “Not if you’ve got dumbbells in your hands and determination in your veins.”

You’re not just lifting weights—you’re lifting limits. This isn’t just fitness. It’s a transformation of body, of mindset, of identity itself.

Power after the pause—menopause.

Don’t just grow older—grow stronger, harder, and bolder, with boulders not just for shoulders but for biceps too. And don’t worry—we won’t forget about leg day. We’re talking twin oaks of muscular might that’ll grow day by day with each and every workout. And you’ll never dread wearing skirts again, fearing stretch marks or cellulite—you’ll love showing off those hard-earned, rock-solid legs that let you rock any outfit. Now that’s a sight.

And every rep, every flex, every muscle gained is proof that midlife isn’t a decline—it’s a rise. Because while the number on your age might be going up, so is your bench, your squat, your deadlift—and all your lifts. (And yes, even the number on the scale—only this time, you’ll be happy about it, because being heavier means being stronger too!)

This isn’t about becoming a bodybuilder (unless that’s your goal). It’s about becoming your strongest self. And let’s be honest: once you get a taste of how great it feels to be strong, you’ll wonder how you ever went so long being so weak. When you look in the mirror and flex, you’ll want to see your biceps’ muscular peaks rise higher and higher—and really, each millimeter, each quarter inch, each half inch, each inch of muscle gain is worth all the reps.

Forget aging gracefully. Start aging powerfully.

You’re never too old to be swole.

You’re not shrinking—you’re expanding. Your presence. Your power. Your deltoids.

Tired of your skin sagging? Tighten up your body. Make that skin stretch taut over silky, steely feminine sinews. In no time, you won’t just have rock-hard muscles—you’ll be rocking a six-pack that looks like it was carved and chiseled from stone.

And if your husband ever puts his foot down? You flex. Hard. Let him see the definition. Let him feel the reality. Then smile sweetly and say, “You better think again.” And if he’s still being a dumbbell, then just treat him like one—lift him up, and don’t put him down until he agrees with you (and of course, until you finish all your reps!).

So say farewell to frailty. You’re not fragile glass—you’re forged in steel and carved in stone. You won’t be worrying about breaking a hip the older you get. With your rock-hard hardbody, you’ll be stronger than ever. You’ll have the strength of multiple men—and did we mention the libido to match? You just might be too much woman for any man to handle. But trust us, you’ll enjoy woman-handling him instead.

Only… maybe we lied. You might still worry about breaking a hip—just not yours, but his! But we’re sure he won’t mind. You’ll discover the joys of Snu Snu and find out some risks are worth the reward. And you might even find a new game to play in the bedroom: which breaks first—his hip or the bed? And no matter which one breaks first, everyone’s a winner.

And there’s no need to feel like a sinner while embracing your sensuality. Menopause doesn’t mean you’re pausing your passion. You’re still a red-blooded woman—and nothing gets the blood pumping like pumping iron. It fills your body with steel, vim, and vigor—and most men say looking at their wives’ muscular hardbodies makes them just as hard… just in a different way. And now that you’re the stronger sex, it only makes sense that you’ll be enjoying the strongest sex of your life.

Because here’s the truth: you’re growing older—but you’re also growing stronger, thanks to all the weight training. So really, there’s no reason to wait—you’re never too old to get started. And in no time, you’ll be getting harder too. And with hardbody muscles, life after menopause doesn’t just get easier… it gets way more exciting.

Trust us—because the science is on our side. Just like muscles are for us too, ladies. And nothing feels better than forging a hardbody physique. Soon, you’ll realize the world’s a lot easier to handle when you’ve got mighty female muscles—and the broad, brawny shoulders to carry it all.

The Mickster

Just a silly short... has a few nice images for it... Nice before and after... Hope you all enjoy the story... again... just had the idea and was able to crank it out quickly... Not all the stories can be about young muscle babes... Youth is wasted on the young... But muscle doesn't need to be! So I think its fun to do more elderly muscle babe. Hope you all agree...
