Hey Joey, I'm starting to watch Baki thanks to your recommendation on Trash Taste. Is it ok for me to watch Baki (2018) from Netflix without watching Baki the Grappler (1994) and Baki (2001)? I do find enjoyment watching Baki 2018 without any context, but I do want to watch the tournament where Baki was crowned Champion. Is the tournament arc in 2001 version? Or do I have to binge the 1994 Baki before 2001? And also, when you guys mentioned Season 3 of Baki, which part were you referring to? The newest 2021 Baki or Baki (2018)?

Hi Joey, Hope all is well. Looks like I commented too late last month, so I figured I would do my best to remember to comment early this month. I have been collecting Japanese prints of manga since 2008, but there has always been something which confused me. Are there any specific reasons for a book's size? Some lines are all one size, but some instances lines have multiple sizes. Take Jump Plus for example. Spy X Family and Kaiju no 8 are a more standardized size while Shuumatsu no Harem is a larger sized book. Any insight is appreciated. Also since I know you like your ecchi manga, I figured I would put in two suggestions :) The first is an on going one call くっ殺せの姫騎士となり、百合娼館で働くことになりました。. If you like weird stories this isekai is definitely an odd, ecchi, one which is great when I want to turn off the brain. The other one is an all time favorite of mine called 甘い生活. This series started in the 90s and if you like older style gag manga/ecchi this one is a great one about a male lingerie designer with miracle hands.

Hey, Joey! I've got a couple of manga recommendations for you. The first is a gorgeous and ecchi shonen. Unlike many series that try to be good at both action and ecchi but only succeed at one, this one excels at both. It's "Slave of the Magic Capital's Elite Troops" or "Mato Seihei no Slave" by Takahiro (writer) and Takemura Youhei. It's in Jump+ and I'm hoping it gets an official English release soon cause it's gorgeous, hype, and cultured without being TOO degenerate. The second manga is "Dog and Scum" or "Inu to Kuzu" by Iori Asaga. It's a seinen romance mystery. Main boy is having memory issues and his gorgeous and pregnant friend from high school - who ended up marrying his best friend - moves in with him. Spicy, interesting, and a little dark. I think you'll really enjoy both. Do you have any recent recommendations for us that you can't talk about on your main channel?

Hey Joey! I’ve been studying Japanese for about 10 months and am still pretty bad. Only understanding maybe about 15-20% of the language. Obviously if I did 10 months of solid emersion I’d probably be conversationally fluent. With all there is in Japanese I tend to lose motivation to keep studying even thought I still have the drive I did when I started. My question is, do you have any advice on how to keep the motivation to study even though I’ll never reach native fluency level?

Hey joey, wanted to ask you if you ever heard of the manga "juujika no rokunin" its basically about a boy named shun uruma, a sixth-grade student who is named "Experimental body" by his five classmates who severly bully him and let him live through hell. After the five bullies kill his parents his only peace, he finally loses everything and faces true hell, his grandfather who served in a secret unit during WWII trains him and prepares him to get revenge on the bullies. Now, four years later, he appears in front of his fated enemy to get revenge on them. Dont want to go into spoiler territory since everything i mentioned happens in the first two chapters, but i think you will like it since it is very dark an has the tags thriller, psychological, gore, tragedy, drama etc. So yeah i hope u check it out. Edit: and btw the revenge he gets on them is really fucked up, so yeah theres that.
