Recently I watched the doujin podcast and am still confused on what doujin is. Can you quickly explain the differences between doujin/doujinshi, is it always done by Japanese artists/authors, is the main character always based off a character from a different anime, and r they always “cultured?” Also surprised no1 mentioned Why The Hell Are You Here Teacher for all of your teacher and student love relationships. I guess this is kind of a follow up to Sin's question. Anyway, have you heard of the Suikoden series? The Final Fantasy series may be more popular, but I honestly prefer the Suikoden series. I love how there's this whole world and history that's been built. You can play as one character in one game, then play as their ancestor or descendant in a later game, depending on when that game takes place. Some characters show up in multiple games. Anyway, a lot of people slept on it and it's pretty much dropped off the face of the earth. It's impossible to find a copy of any of the games in the main series for under $100 . There hasn't been a new main series Suikoden game in 15 years, and to me that is a shame. They've done rereleases for the Katamari Damacy games and the older Final Fantasy games. That's great and all, but where the fuck are my Suikoden reissues? Oh, there's also a Suikoden 3 manga, but I haven't read it because the only place I've seen it for sale is at a second-hand book store and they didn't have all the volumes.

After watching your recent video on Summer 2021, I disagreed with your take on isekai, so I posted a video to Youtube. The premise is this - Isekai isn't just a genre, it's a setting. Saying there are too many Isekai anime is like saying there are too many anime that take place in high school. Yes, a lot of High School anime are the same and kind of blend together, but they're not all the same. Last season's "The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent" was actually a Josei Isekai, with the focus being more on adult work relationships than "oooh, look at my cool cheat abilities." This season's "Drugstore in Another World" is a fluffy slice of life. What would it take to convince you to give isekai a try?

Have you heard of the manga Bokura no Kiseki? It's a masterfully done character drama, mystery that I think you would enjoy quite a bit. It's a shame that it seems to be very unknown even in the Japanese manga community so I hope to shed a bit of light on the series.
