I loved hearing you talk about Maquia . I also watched it on a flight back from Italy to America. I had to stop the movie about 10 minutes from the end because I didn't want everyone to see me fuckin bawl.

Can you get together with your friends and make an AniTube-ime Awards for this year? 💜💜💜

The Crunchyroll Awards: The My Hero Academia Edition. All Academia, all the time. XD

I suppose I am the 1% that listened to this wrapped in my My hero academia blanket, drinking tea, and thinking about how amazing Devilman Crybaby was🤔.

Loved the pod mate. I became a contributor for this very reason and I hope it stays around and continues to grow. Keep up the awesome work! (Also, by the time you get around to recording your next episode I think I'll have read through all of Goodnight Punpun - would love to hear your elaborated thoughts/review).

Hi Joey! Long time listener, first time being on Patron. Suggestions: Non-anime stuff that could be discussed are places you’ve visited that you have loved and why (or places Aki and you plan to visit together). Anime stuff that you could discuss can be animation that comes out of America or Korea, etc. Something you think people could pay more attention to. Just as one of many discussions you’ll do.

You can just download the YouTube video as an mp3 if you'd like!

I plan to!

The edit function is problematic! The second point I want to make is; please continue to make more videos on Japan, more "travel" ones and the places and cultural ones. The reason is simple, this is the country that made Manga and Anime what it is today. The places in Japan are often featured or referenced in the places where manga/anime (and light novels) take place. There are also the colloquialisms and the idioms of the language associated with these geographic areas in Japan. (I look forward to visiting Japan within the next two years). Learning the language without understanding the culture and history of the country puts you at a serious disadvantage. I understand your dislike of translations of Japanese to English for instance. I always keep on the subtitles while listening to the English and many times I see the subtitles diverge from the spoken English. Keep making videos and in the current atmosphere of YouTube, I see you migrating to less restrictive and more open platforms. Keep up the good work

The number of anime being distributed and the sites showing anime has exploded within the last 10 years. Just some I can think of are Funimation, Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix as well as cable exclusive channels devoted to anime. I will try to watch 1 or 2 episodes of most anime, if it doesn't speak to me, I move on. Hence, I don't see quite a few. But that is ok, I am allowed my opinion, at least for now.

Dude. You should just try talking about non-anime stuff on your channel. You already do some stuff that isn't really anime related. I don't think people would care too much.

Damn it Joey, now I want some coffee

Is there an audio version if this? I’d like to be able to listen to this on the go...

first time I support someone on patreon and it's just for this podcast

What a wonderful pilot episode for a podcast!
