I can get behind this since we promised each other that angel 17 is his. But it all got so complicated because Kanata liked Ren not Angel 7 and Shun was the opposite. It's tough too when you think like Kanata both of them being my friends, would you tell your bro your friends real identity she's deliberately trying to keep secret so that he can chase after her? The more I talk about it the more this whoole situation is actually a bit more complex and the writer could've made this situation way more believable on both side than just going straight to a punch. I think there's actually room to argue for both sides if he made the situation a bit better. But the way he delivered this i feel like it's just meant for the viewer to dislike Shun

And honestly I ain't even mad at that take, Emma caused drama since she got introduced lol but I still got the respect for her as a character. I feel like she just has a stronger personality than most of the people in this show which might come off as bad because it doesn't fit in with everyone else. and I do like a lil bit of spicy drama in the plot😏

Yeeah he's definitely one of those character just used to be passed by everyone else. Didn't put much fight back in battles either probably why I haven't remembered him much. Yeah I agree he'll probably be out of the godly fifteen next race

I think one of the twin characters can leave too honestly, the girl character races better so I think if the brother left it wouldn't be too noticeable since they mainly stay in the back. Unless they want to build further on those characters. I did like seeing their double team tactics race 1 and 2 but they didnt do too much last race

But yeah like you said it's just an awkward way to introduce it, I'm not even mad about the writer creating tension between friends or the hit it's just the way it all went down. He says "Im disappointed" then immediately swings and THEN goes on to explain everything and ask for his side. If he did the talking part first and maybe Kanata stayed the silent the whole time out of guilt then it would be more believable for Shun to end it with a punch since he's getting no answers from him.

He started off with a strong fifth-place finish at Odawara with his AMG GT S in season one, but then things went downhill for him after he switched to the AMG GT R. He got destroyed by Kanata, Aiba, and Nozomi in the rain at Ashinoko in season two, and then just recently he came in last place at Manazuru this season. Even if you don’t read the manga, Ohtani's previous race results make it blatantly obvious that it’s only a matter of time until he knocks himself out of the godly fifteen if he doesn't pull himself together.

Even with this not being a big episode it still served some purpose of introducing a character and causing tension for Shun and Kanata. It's a lot less blanket time than the last seasons though, cant wait for the next one! lol glad I skip the previews that would probably make me even more impatient

2026-02-15 20:01:56 +0000 UTCIt was soo random from Aiba's side. I can get behind causing a rip between the friends but make it more believable on Shun's side. I feel like maybe the beach should of been Ren and Kanata actually getting a little more closer followed by Shun seeing them together at the worst possible time maybe they hugged or held hands for a second, maybe Ren leaves for the bathroom real quick. then out of anger he runs up to press Kanata. Maybe Kanata's so surprised to see him he can't talk and then a hit happens and Shun panics that he did that and he runs off. I can say that situation is a bit more believable. And I could've had sympathy for both because it's just a messy misunderstanding now. Hitting Kanata because he didn't tell him she MFG angel 7 is crazy though, it just makes him dislikeable. This is almost equal to the Will Smith slap, there's no way to justify it from Will's perspective and wasn't worth the hit. The Emma girl is just as messy lol but it's a good messy though. Yeah I'm feeling like Emma might push Ren to stand up for what she wants. and like you said it's also showing us maturity for Kanata the way he tells Ren who she is and the way he defends her too saying we'll leave if you insult her. That's kinda cool to see.

2026-02-14 01:01:47 +0000 UTCMan, that was an L take from Aiba this episode. As an adult, he should know better than to act a fool like that. He needs to make up for that. Only thing I can think of that might be positive about this is that he can get over that Number 7 thing and move on now that he knows she's underage. Im interested to see the dynamic between Kanata and Emma though, and how Ren handles it. It seems they've both learned from the train incident, where Ren didn't overreact with what Emma said to her, and Kanata was more up front with saying that his friend was a girl. The preview was wild though, im hyped for next week!
