Progress report for Edeleth 34 and Chibi Ganqing

Hello guys! I hope everyone's July has been good! Make sure to take care of yourselves, stay healthy and keep safe out there, yeah?

Let's go with progress report first then I'll explain about the emergency I was talking about in Twitter. I do believe I need to discuss these with you guys just in case it gets in the way of reward releases.

At present I'm already finished with July's Chibi Ganqing draft. It isn't Summer themed though as I've suggested, it does seem festive to me...we are going to have Inazuma out so why not feel a little more celebratory? I could use some happy vibes from this too.

I also have Edeleth 34, the last NSFW reward from June, is also roughly drafted, I just need fix and add stuff then I can do the clean lineart and after, coloring.

Currently estimations of ETA for Chibi Ganqing and Edeleth 34 is hopefully next week. But I'd like to say give Edeleth 34 a few days, probably 3 days out of August and it'll be out. I'll be jumping right into July's NSFW rewards after Edeleth 34's done, which likely means July's NSFW reward production will be ongoing through August.

For the month of August, the billing will continue as usual, I'll have a poll up for August but any plans for going back to full illustration for SFW will have to be paused for another month or so. NSFW rewards will still remain as a vote for 2 pairings, we'll still be taking a break from Edeleth.

Worse case scenario is if progress is slow on August, I'll be pausing billing for September to catch up with my balances.

For the old time subscribers, I believe you know what exactly I'll be doing for this but to the new subscribers my usual...action? for this is:

Finish previous balance rewards ---> Message subscribers billed in the month those rewards correspond to (e.g. if you got billed on June, I'll send the June rewards I owe you).

Safe assured even if you don't subscriber for the next month due to personal reasons, you'll still get the reward I owe you. Just check your PMs here on Patreon. Since I do make release announcements again on Twitter, you'll know when a reward I owe you is up for claim.

Two reasons why production flow may have hiccups is:

1. I suddenly opened commissions. Why?

I said previously that I'll open it on an emergency, it wasn't even a several days ago and an issue came up. I remember talking about my brother's case, I think it was on the Ganqing post? I'm not so sure and I can't do much checking here on Patreon...the internet speed here sucks. 

Anyways, picking back up from the previous topic about my brother. 

My brother's case is still your usual common cold caused by stress and also Philippines weather has been shifting constantly from hot summer and storm like rains. The only symptom left is his cough which the doctor he talked to said may be caused by allergies instead since they gave him quite the medication. 

A second opinion came from another doctor today. It was to get "tested" just to be on the safe side and also so he doesn't have a problem going back to his work place, it was likely going to be required later on since he's also getting this vaccine shot. 

The main issue is really money. His medications were expensive. The testing? As expensive or even more than his medicine. His healthcare doesn't cover the testing so we have to pay for it plus hope that government Philhealth can chip off a few numbers off the price of the testing.

I'm embarrassed to say I don't have a lot on me either since I just sent money to my cousin's family last week for their own food and monthly expenses. My cousin's salary is still too little to support them on her own so I'm still busy trying to juggle around work to get money for them as well.

tldr: sieka is just broke and needs money to help pay expense for brother's medical needs.

That's pretty much the reason behind the sudden commission opening.

2. I got accepted into a zine.....I'm sorry. orz

I'm not going to specify which zine it is I got into other than the application for it was before my brother even got sick. I applied for it, got in. I'm now up in the fence whether I should drop out of it because of this or just soldier on and complete it. 

I applied thinking that anything I make for this zine would be released to everyone here in hi-res so it would be a win-win situation. I make art for the zine, you guys also get art out of it. 

Now I'm not so sure about how great participating is considering it could prove to be a huge throw off in schedule with what's happening right now.

What I talked about the emergency, please keep it just here. I didn't want it to be a topic or be focused on publicly.

I also would like to answer something someone may be thinking of: I need money but I said patrons can ask for their discount, why is that? 

Even though I'm short on money right now I still do want to fulfill my own rule, my own words here. Active patrons interested in a commission can get discount if they want it. That's all it really is. : )
