I think it started with the whole showdown between MYs over a scene from the gnarly MV looking similar to a scene in aespa’s drama MV. Blinks MYS (and tokkis) have teamed up after finding a common enemy, HYBE which is one of katseye’s record labels and they helped MYs in dragging katseye for being under HYBE slave contracts and claiming Manon isn’t black enough. During this fan war the members of katseye, namely Lara and Manon, put out responses to some of the shady comments being made by poking fun at the ridiculous drags. This pissed MYs off some more making it even bigger. This was right before gnarly era and with eyekons having pissed off one of K-pop’s biggest fanbases people were ready to tear them apart for it. In the end gnarly was very successful taking the group to new heights and giving eyekons a big ego. They started comparing them to other kpop groups saying how they’re so free and get to do more than their Korean counterparts which lead of kpop fans to jump on the dragging. Months after that drama subsided there was an interview done by Sophia Wylie where she gave katseye a shout out and gave a back handed compliment to blackpink saying she loves them but they’re giving fans nothing (which is true, just like their tour the group looks a mess). Sophia of katseye liked the IG post with this interview leaving blinks furious and they started dragging her. Telling her and her members to even die. Then earlier this week there was a Tweet posted by @dekudam with 19K likes saying Dani was a better dancer than Lisa and that turned into another full on fan war with eyekons taking digs at Jennie and the rest of the pinks for their lackluster concert performances. Blinks fought back by calling them nobodies, industry plants, saying their company is media playing them by buying likes on Twitter and saying their members can barely keep up with the choreo since one is always missing.

2025-08-17 19:16:59 +0000 UTCBlackPink's people just need to let the girls be solo cuz I don't think they hate each other like people claim, I just think there just about ready to wrap it up go their own ways and work on their solo careers (Jennie, Lisa & Rose with music and Jisoo more focusing on acting & doing music on the side (cuz sorry to the Jisoo fans who deluded themselves to think she's gonna do music AND acting she isn't she came in the industry with intentions of being an actress in the first place) comeback for anniversary's (like next year would have been a good year to do BlackPink again because it would have been their 10 years anniversary but the company is probably gonna instead do that with the companies legendary boy group (weird saying that when their all pushing 40) for their 20 years instead, Like BlackPink are not Twice I mean is there gonna be a day when Twice says ok, it's time to move on & do the celebratory/anniversary comeback thing, of course there will be but it seems like thats not right now, cuz it seems those girls wanna go till they reach 15 at least (they're 10th anniversary is in october) With Manon, it's odd cuz I do think she faces racism because unfortunately thats a very real thing in the industry. With her missing stuff I do also think she's getting sick because she's working herself overtime to catchup with the girls, cuz if anyones seen the show they'd know she was an influencer first a year or two before the group was formed (its kind of a similar story with Lara but she (along with her sister) has BEEN doing music) she was never meant to do this but the opportunity came her way meanwhile the other 5 girls have BEEN singing and dancing and training to do this for YEARS which is why if you notice for their earlier stuff she's more so in the back and now she's in the center let alone in the front. So unfortunately i do think it's a combonation of things when it comes to Manon.

The fact they have girls from all different background definitely helps connect to a bigger fan base. As long as they can keep all the members!

2025-08-17 06:05:29 +0000 UTCOkay, the Blackpink x Katseye thing is a fan-made issue. This girl, Sofia Wylie, said that she loved Katseye and that Blackpink has been giving nothing recently. Jump was cute, but as a group, they dropped maybe a single once a year, if that, and every couple of years, you might get an album. On top of that, they are currently on tour with only one new song and have been receiving backlash for their "lazy performances". They don't look like a group that's been together for years, and sometimes they look like they don't want to be there. A lot of the backlash fell on Jennie in particular because it seemed she gave more energy and cared more about performing her solo songs rather than performing her group songs. As for Katseye, they're promotion has been stellar, the mics are always on, and the choreo is always top tier. The main issue I'm seeing with them is the company's mistreatment of their POC members, Lara and Manon. Mostly Manon. She faces a lot of racism, and it feels like she's constantly being excluded from promotions, whether it's photoshoots or videos.
