It’s like she was full steam ahead when she was in her mixtape era and L&HH days but now everything she puts out to me gives “here—damn !!”. Idk how else to explain it but she doesn’t convince me that she’s a rapper and I’ve been stopped looking to her for that title. She’s an entertainer at best, and that’s okay !

We’re phasing out of it cause we’ve heard so many ways what a “pussy” can make you do or how much money it will make you spend. Millennials have kinda heard it all and it’s not the cadence or tone it’s the context. We’re unenthused by it. We defiantly got a taste of it from Lil Kim in the late 90’s early 2000’s but it was a drought until Nicki came. Truth be told I think that’s why Nicki has been quiet since she did a second leg of her tour trying to see what the audience want. I believe audience want a hybrid female artist like a Doechii. Can do the “pussy” rap but then can give you Denial is a River. Nicki hasn’t really don’t that since her mixtape era and maybe since Pink Print. She has became so private I mean most of her raps now is talking about bitches be broke, illiterate, them being her sons and how’s she’s the queen. I do wish artist like Meg, Cardi, FloMili and Latto would be a little more personable and relatable. Everyone now is this primed bad bitch with money and niggas on the side. Sometimes we just wanna wear sweat pants and be lowkey and actually HEAR music. Sometime I do wanna think about what’s going on. I can’t be a bad bitch 24/7, especially in this economy lol🤎

Outside is on the album which so is WAP and Up and it looks like we’ll be getting 20 other songs as well 😬 I’m excited to see what this album turns out to be and Zach we definitely want an album review when it drops in September!!

I understand the disappointment in LIL WAYNE. He’s an artist & a lyricist. But Cardi to me never gave a student of rap, she never gave rap scholar or music scholar, she always gave one and done and that music was a vehicle to her destination now. The record sounds like a traditional Cardi record. It’s cool. It’s ok. I’m not disappointed bc this is the type of rapper she is. Even if you break down how most artist change there look to match the album. Tyler, Rihanna, Hov, Beyonce etc. we can name a hair style they wore and relate it to a song and year for them. We can’t do the same for Cardi. We have to lower our standard for her. She’s not an artist she’s a rapper. Artist are obsessed with the craft. I never viewed her as passionate or obsessed. I always view her as a rapper who’s just trying to leverage her self into other rooms for a bigger bag, and that’s ok.
