The next episode will be a good one! To reclarify some details, the one who ate Rem's name and memories was the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony (Lye), and the white haired one was the Sin Archbishop of Greed (Regulus). I can't say if it's different later, as I haven't watched beyond Season 2, but currently, the Witch of Sloth (Sekhmet) is not in Subaru. The witch we saw reaching out toward Betelgeuse was the Witch of Envy (Satella). What Garfiel was implying is that when someone who isn't a mixed-blood attempts the trial, they get battered up like Roswaal did when it rejects them. The show likes to convey information visually at times, and they did this at 28:00 when Garfiel looks up to Roswaal, before cutting to a shot of him in bed, but it can be easy to miss at times. People who aren't mixed-blood can leave the Sanctuary whenever they want to, but they're currently being held against their will by Garfiel and the residents of the Sanctuary, who say they'll only let them leave once Emilia destroys the barrier by undertaking the Sanctuary's trial.
