新田美波の誕生日ですね。

最近はついったで自己アピールするのも億劫になってダンマリ状態ですが、

えぇ、もちろんですとも。

我が家では自分や奥様の誕生日を祝ったりはしないのですが、新田美波の誕生日は盛大に祝います。

というか最優先事項です。

予定は空けておかねばなりません。

前日からです。

というのも例年であれば信者の皆々様を集めて「新田美波誕生日を祝う会」を執り行うことになっており、僕は主催なので、前日から準備に大忙しなのです。

ですが今年はコロナ自粛で祝う会は無し。

去年も無かった。

二年連続で中止になるとは思ってなかったなぁ。

仕方がないので今年は家の中にセルフ祭壇を作ってひっそりとお祝いしてました。

公式の美波グッズは一通り全て揃えてある（はず）。

この祭壇の前に膝をつくと、なんだか心が落ち着きます。

もはや宗教です。

美波教なのです。

祭壇の前で祈りを捧げたらケーキでお祝いしましょう。

我が家には新田美波誕生日会専用の「美波と一緒にケーキを食べるタペストリ−」

というとてもクール(?)なアイテムもあります。

「新田美波のための誕生日会なのに、どうして私は新田美波とケーキが食えないんだ！おかしい！」

とゴネる我が奥様に脅迫されて描いた代物です。

どういう物かというと…

まず誕生日会の会場にロケハンに行くわけです。

キャラクターを座らせる場所を撮影し、環境光で服がどのように発色するのかを事前に調べておくためです。

その写真を使って等身大の美波を作画し、

キャラクターの色を環境光と合うように調整してタペストリーにプリントアウト。

イベント当日に会場のソファの上にこれを展示しておくと、

まるでキャラクターと一緒に誕生日を祝っている感覚を体験できる…というなんとも手間暇のかかったネタ。

これが結構ばかにならない。

気分を盛り上げてくれるんです。

僕にとって新田美波誕生日会というのはこういうネタを考えるのも大事な要素。

だからこそ、イベントが無いとなんとも物足りない…

来年こそは開催できるといいなぁ。

Yes, it's the birthday of Minami Nitta.

Lately, I've been too lazy to promote myself on social media, so I don't talk much about Minami anymore.

But my feelings for Minami have not changed at all.

We don't celebrate my birthday or my wife's birthday at home, but we celebrate Minami Nitta's birthday in a big way.

It's not an exaggeration to say that it's our top priority.

It's a rule to keep your schedule open.

From the day before.

The reason why I do this is because every year, I gather my friends and hold a "Minami Nitta Birthday Party".

I'm in charge of organizing this event, so I have to start preparing the day before.

But this year, the birthday party was cancelled because of Corona.

It wasn't there last year either.

I didn't expect it to be cancelled two years in a row.

I had no choice but to make my own altar in my house this year and celebrate quietly.

I own all the official Minami goods in one place.

When I kneel down in front of this altar, it somehow calms me down.

It's a religion now.

Yes, it's a Minami-religion.

After praying in front of the altar, let's celebrate with a cake.

I have a unique item called "Cake Eating Tapestry with Minami," which is specially designed for Minami's birthday party.

One day, my wife said to me.

"It's a birthday party for Minami, so why can't I have a cake with her? It's wrong!

Then she ordered me to find a way to solve this problem, and I made this.

Here's how to make this item.

The first thing I did was to go to the venue of the birthday party to take photos of the place where Minami would be sitting, and to find out in advance what color the clothes would look like under the ambient light.

Using the photos, I drew a life-sized Minami.

The color of the character was adjusted to match the ambient light and printed out on a tapestry.

On the day of the event, the tapestry was displayed on the sofa at the venue so that people could experience the feeling of celebrating their birthday with the characters.

This item makes me feel more excited than I imagined.

For me, preparing surprises like this is an important part of a Minami Nitta birthday party.

That's why it's so disappointing that the event was cancelled.

I hope I can hold it next year.
