a little context on the opening that might help: this series ran on tv in the same time slot as detective conan, and is made by the same studio. it did not run consecutively, week after week. it was interspersed with regular detective conan episodes in between over the course of like, two years. this opening was made so that it could be played over both shows with just the title logo swapped out. this is in contrast to the opening used for episodes 2-6, where two completely different openings were made. both used the same song, but had totally unique visuals depending on whether it was a conan episode or a kaito episode. long story short, this opening was to save the studio time and money by killing two birds with one stone and having an opening that would work for both lol
