Surprise Poll - Entrepreneurial Spirit!
Added 2024-01-24 07:33:17 +0000 UTCI'm still working on the next update, but in the meantime...
What did Izuku Midoriya decide to buy from Nova's Multiversal Emporium?
You, the audience, get to choose and decide the course of the story! Approval voting in effect!
(The T-Virus has been cut from the list due to Izuku not being willing to risk infecting other people with a potentially apocalyptic plague. A mystery box has been added in its place and is explicitly NOT a zombie mutagen.)

Nice, there's a fair bit of potential there! Reinforcement would be very useful for example. Plus, considering he'd be the only mage in MHA, none of his spells would be weakened by the planet. And based on his Element & Origin, some interesting things can be done. Hopefully he'll start working out too, as he's still a string-bean

2024-01-24 21:06:35 +0000 UTCAs funny as the bargain options are, Izuku isn't stupid, he'd go for the contract when seeing how all the other ones can go horribly wrong.

2024-01-24 16:16:56 +0000 UTCAlso hopefully a subjective decade of experience gives him a spine and tempers him from a niave, all loving kid, into someone that would and will make decisions and understand consequences. Working for a morally ambiguous multiverse entity with rules that are enforced via magic would quickly get rid of the doormat attitude and make him grow as a person. He would be forced to learn that the world runs on shades of grey, not black and white like he thinks.

2024-01-24 15:34:32 +0000 UTCYeah, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the worlds he goes to have Power-Ups that he could acquire! Some form of Super-soldier method, special breathing form, Ki, magical foods, etc.

2024-01-24 14:42:14 +0000 UTCJust curious, what School of Magic, and from what franchise? Because that can vary wildly. Fairy Tail Magic? DnD Magic? Elder Scrolls Magic? The Power, Versatility, etc. can change wildly

2024-01-24 14:40:38 +0000 UTCCounterpoint: Izuku is actually smart and was given the one resource he most needs at this point in the timeline: Time. He is a gigantic nerd when it comes to observation and planning, so giving him time to come to a decision will most likely give him the time to analyse and decide for the best long term decision which is to continue to network with the interdimensional merchant capable of helping him long term.

2024-01-24 11:52:00 +0000 UTCDevils advocate for the sword: Izuku is 14 and believes that possession is something that happens to other people, and will rationalize away the risk of mutation. An enchanted weapon that could cut concrete and steel like butter will appeal to him because a rescue hero is still a hero.

2024-01-24 11:15:41 +0000 UTCFair enough I guess, it's your call, I just have trouble seeing him make a fuck up quite that large, now if it was Jaune for example, that I could see lol

2024-01-24 07:46:08 +0000 UTCIzuku is also fourteen and a bit of a ditz who has just had the traumatic experience of having his personal hero tell him his dream is impossible. So impulsively deciding to fix that issue is not outside the bounds of his possible reactions. It boils down to what the readers want to see happen/inflict upon him.

2024-01-24 07:41:41 +0000 UTCThere is only one none retarded option, and Deku for all his issues is not retarded and is willing to put in the work for what he wants, it would be different if it was, for example, Grape Boy, or someone similar

2024-01-24 07:38:14 +0000 UTCThe correct answer is definitely the employment contract. That’s whats in character. But I think the necronomicon would be fun
