I'd read another chapter of this just based off my faith in your writing, but as a fan of yours since Hive Minded, this is one of the weakest offerings I've seen you publish.

I seem to recall that bio engineering was one of the areas that banned the Citadel and an SSS that would increase people's longevity and increase their physical capabilities would be a great way to level the playing field with the other races. I think 200 years life expectancy was easily doable with the serum and it would also be good for population numbers for future colonists.
