Mercenaries are a few thousand troops that basically serve as ground forces/infantry to back up your KMF forces and Spec Ops. They enable you to hold territory and keep order in the local populace. Merchant Marine give you a more robust supply line by adding ships to your convoys/fleets that aren't simply warships. They'll help carry people, ammunition, food, water, and other supplies.

On the next turn, is "See a Girl About a Robot" meant to be unmodified now that we have Milly as an Advisor? I was hoping that it would be a free option to choose on top of the normal in the research-option for Gawain. Or at least have a lowered DC and/or better rewards.
