Some wip images.

I'm sure some of you are thinking what am I doing posting some character screenshots when the next animation is already this late so I guess I need to try to explain myself.

Firstly I decided to make 2 new characters instead of one which took it's time.

Then I spent a significant amount of time trying to get vector displacement maps working which basically would just enable me to do some more interesting surface details but this ended up not really going anywhere.

I did also just chill a bit during june, earlier this year I was considering taking a break during summer and I decided to incorporate it to this period.

Later I decided to start using udim's in my models which enables me to reach higher texture resolutions than normally. I had to start learning a new texturing software for that, but some ways into that substance painter, which I had used previously, finally got udim support after years of waiting so I decided to just wait for that to release and not spend more time on learning new texturing software.

I also started using a new rendering engine which took some time to get used to. Screenshots in this post are very quickly thrown together so they don't look very good.

When I was almost done with these I realized that I can't actually render the damn things because even my 2080ti was running out of memory so next I had to spend a lot of time optimizing things and redoing some parts. There were also other things that took time but I don't want to dwell too much on that.

As to when the next animation is going to come out, I'm not sure. I haven't made a full rig and any animations yet in maya so it will take time, and I also want to learn to use a new fluid sim software which will also take time but I promise I'll whip myself to get it done as soon as I can.

"takes notice" well hello again sounds like you have your hands full :P well I just hope things turn out well. one of my friends was talking about that he's happy that udim support came out for painter i have yet to touch that yet on painter but il look into it at some point.stay safe stay clean don't forget your hazmat suit when you go out. il be waiting for your next post

oohh you should not worry about the stuff ... good things need a while after all &gt;3&gt; also they look great :3 interesting dick, lel, but yeah, I can imagine well, that this takes reallyyyy long, even more with this new program, so yeah, take your time, work on it until you are really happy with it x3 also, I totally don't mind if you take breaks in summer ... I might don't know, how hot it is in your place, but I hate the heat, I'm pretty much dead with over 30°C already, just laying there, don't want to do nothing ... so I don't blame you, lol. take all the rest if you need it x3

Wips are perfectly fine! Learning new programs can definatly be a struggle so I'm sure everyone understands.
