Maleficent
Added 2022-10-11 17:20:35 +0000 UTCI just saw the Teranen's dragon Maleficent drawing and it got to me. I have a lot of stuff I want to draw and ideas I wanna realize, but I've got my huge backlog of commission work. Not to mention that many of my ideas feel like copycat art based on other artists works.
I thought about it and here's how I see it - My commission and patron rewards backlog is now too big and becomes unbearable. I think about all the things I have to draw asap so much that I lose any will to draw at all. And it's scary. It also takes away from art quality - I already started drawing rewards in a simpler way than I'd like to.
The only way I see to solve this crisis before I overthink it and burn out completely is: stop taking any more commission work before I finish what I owe already - So I can save my drawing skills and passion. I will probably close Patreon rewards for the time being or rise the price drastically
