Added 2021-06-27 19:58:33 +0000 UTCHey everyone! You've probably saw me Tweeting desperately about extreme heat in Moscow. I wasn't prepared for this at all nor was our apartment ready... We live on the sunny side and without air conditioning room temperatures rise above 30-33 degrees Celsius (86F) with no humidity or breeze.
Turning on the PC in this heat pretty much sends it into a stroke not to mention rising the temperature even further. I avoid drawing since I already lost work progress once when the computer decided that it needs to take a break and turned off.
I feel similar, can't concentrate on work for more than 2 hours a day, all I do is try cooling off, naked all the time but it doesn't help much. As if it wasn't enough, all the plans to get a split conditioner went out the window with everyone doing the same the closest window to get one would be in 2 weeks after applying for.
We thought getting a portable conditioning would be a temp solution and got one, but it's too loud, only cools of one room and what's more important burdens the wiring too much. If anything else is turned on the circuit breaker just trips. A friend said that's fire hazard and we need to change the wiring.
So we can't work with it on, can't go anywhere because of COVID measures, feel terrible, our animals aren't feeling better than we do. I'm trying to keep Patreon updated but all I can do is wait till the temperature goes down or some rainshowers get it down.
I will try changing my schedule to work through nights instead since air conditioning stays a dream.
Sorry you have to read all this whining, but I just can't take it anymore mentally or physically.
