WE GOT DAN WALK CYCLE!! Animated by the wonderful Jessica (Maskii)!

Backgrounds are also all sketched out! Unless you count the hundred of books on shelves I still need to draw 💀 Plus making the church design even more detailed bc I'm cruel to myself like that. I've been dabbling in shaders/2d lights too for an extra flare bc I have the power to do so.

Next month I need to do the key poses for Dan's run cycle so Maskii has reference for it and I'll be organizing more of the next plan of actions. There's gonna be a couple seconds of fully animated cutscenes and while I'm having help with all of it I still need to do the model sheets, plan storyboards and character layouts for key frames. It's gonna look so good tho.... ✨

Their upper and lower bodies have different arcs so there’s frames where the limbs are countered but since the arms swing in a shorter arc there’s a slight overlap while the legs catch up. A casual walking gait isn’t always going to be evenly split. On the other hand the run cycles will be closer to what you’d expect bc of the more extreme and quicker arcs 🙂‍↕️

Am I the only one that feels uneasy with the walk cycles having the arms swinging in sync with their legs and not counter to them? Like normally when you walk, your left leg goes forward and your left arm goes back to counter balance. Something about how they're almost synced like they are gives me a weird feeling
