Added 2025-05-17 00:03:11 +0000 UTCI’m at the beginning of reworking UD to be continued as a video game instead of a comic! Here’s why:
I can’t do 2 full color comics at the same time.
ClawShot won’t be done anytime soon.
A horror/romance game where you kill angels with your big demon gf sounds like a good time.
I won’t be starting the story over from the beginning but I have to approach it from the assumption the player is someone who’s never read the comic before. It’ll start at ch7 instead of finishing ch6 as that would really confuse anyone new. The gameplay will be a combo of point n’ click and visual novel, heavy on the narrative with branching paths down the line. It’s intimidating working with a new medium when I’m so used to comics but I’m not gonna give up that easily! I have pals that will help me out too so it doesn't take me ten years. I plan on releasing "chapters" instead of one long game all together, like those old tell-tale games.
Currently I’m writing and planning the first part and what I’ll need to put it together. Not everyone will vibe with the change of comic to video game but to be fair, most readers haven't read a new UD page in almost 5 years and probably forgot about it by now. I believe there could be more interest in the narrative as a game too, but first I'll finish the first chapter and see how it goes! 💕

I’m using unity! I’ve played a little bit with renpy before, it’s really straightforward but too limited for the kind of interactive gameplay I want.
