12-Inch Roommate - Chapter Loglines
Added 2020-09-15 15:31:00 +0000 UTCThe goal in rebooting 12-Inch Roommate was to create more fully realized stories. The original comic started as scribbles with not much concern for narrative or character and it evolved into something with more direction. So, this time around I wanted to start with stories that were as strong as possible.
I am conceiving the new strips as a twelve chapter book with a set number of pages in each chapter. Bringing the final product to almost 300 pages (let's hope I get there). And in an effort to maintain some clarity in the writing, I've been drafting all of my chapter descriptions now instead of making them up on the fly.
The chapters are mostly named after classic sitcoms, and they are designed to capture a sitcom storytelling trope, a domestic roommate situation and an opportunity for dirty sexual scenarios. Most of them are based off of stories from the strips original run.
