Production Notebook - 9/13/20

It feels like every time I start to get into a groove of productivity with my comics, everything else in my world collapses around me shortly after. I tell myself that I'm just not organized enough or my routine isn't strong enough - which maybe true - but it is also just as likely that too many things are flying at me at once. However, I am really enjoying this new 12-Inch journey and am dedicated to getting it back on track.

The above image is the first panel in strip #12. I've drawn it so many times. I just keep drafting it and reviewing and starting over. Fortunately, I am more pleased with it each time but there's still something... off about it. I mean, it's a weird position and at weird angle and these are new designs that I haven't completely pinned down (one of my biggest issues here is Matt's head at this angle...) But I made a deal with myself long ago that if I re-drew something more than 3 times, I'd just move on and just try to do better next time. Because honestly, I'm the only person that is going to notice.
