There are a few characters from the visual novel that have yet to appear in the comic. The mayor and a couple of teachers come to mind. But as the main antagonist of that story, Iris here is arguably the most important character to show up late to this party.

As has always been the case, I intend to recap any important story bits from the visual novel into the comic itself as needed. So her whole deal will be explained in these pages eventually. But if you don't want to wait, I will now recap some very spoilery elements from the visual novel.

If Switch is the queen and Halver is the knight, Iris would be the wicked advisor who has secret ambitions to take the throne for herself. She's smarter than Switch, but lacks the power to confront her directly. She cooked up a scheme to find and kill Switch's dormant body in their home world. Part of that plan involved her possessing Chloe. Isaac ruined her plans and expelled her from Chloe's mind with Switch's help. Additionally, the experience of being inside Chloe's mind had caused Iris to fall obsessively in love with her.
