Meanwhile in hindsight it's clear to me that I took on more than I could easily handle in a narrative sense with this whole scene. It was harder than I thought it would be to juggle so many characters at once without the pace being dragged down. Naturally it's a relief to me that the parties are starting to come together here. XD

We're seeing a bunch of characters from different cliques interacting in a setting outside of school which is cool on it's own, but also really don't a kind of world-building that I'm not sure the series has before. What I mean is that the world-building normally serves to make things more expansive. New settings, backstories, kinks, relationships, motivations, and side characters all make the setting feel alive and varied, but also more loosely connected. Likewise, when the characters talk about knowing something about another through rumor you get the feel of this big, gossipy school in a full city. But this, with Elianna trying and everyone knowing she is, with Trish aware of Morgan and Liz without dismissing them (even while being a bully), and with the whole school not just looking to see a step site but this particular one out in living by their friends... it's giving these almost small town vibes where everyone knows each other, not just of each other, and it really fits the characters and seeing well.
