This Romantic World Page 279

Like many of the characters I come up with, Mary's got her issues, but I hope you guys liked this scene. I say that like we're done, though, which we are not! This scene is just getting started! Next week, It's time to see what Chloe and Millie are up to.

PS: Lately I've been experimenting with changing the color of the caption bubbles to make it clearer who's talking. Did it work here or was the color difference too subtle? I just wanted to make it clear who was saying what in that final panel where you couldn't see them without being too visually distracting.

I'm just saying, he's Hard in response to her hugging him and crying. Something is arousing him after he just came, its not just that her being genuine makes him forgive her for her earlier behavior! XD.

GregD

Thanks!

Reinbach

Glad to have the interest! :)

Reinbach

Good to hear! :)

Reinbach

Great! That was the aim. :)

Reinbach

Thanks for the input! :)

Reinbach

Thank you!

Reinbach

Thanks! :)

Reinbach

Might be something to consider in the future for sure!

Reinbach

Noted! XD

Reinbach

Thank you!

Reinbach

Glad to have that interest! :)

Reinbach

That was a great idea on the bubble waves still being a bit wobbly. I actually added that in thanks to your suggestion!

Reinbach

Right on, and I suppose what matters is that you still knew who was talking in this case.

Reinbach

Good to hear on both counts! :)

Reinbach

That he did! XD

Reinbach

I was going for more that he's more into it once she's being genuine, but you could put it that way. XD

Reinbach

That could mess with my color schemes in a hurry if I'm not careful as well! XD But it's a solid idea if I could pull it off.

Reinbach

Noted! :)

Reinbach

Right, Kayden is intended to be fully bi, though he's far more comfortable around men, so that's where his true personality comes out the most.

Reinbach

Bubble color is a good idea, and the difference is alright.

NKL

Great Panel! Like many who commented, I didn't notice the difference until after you pointed it out, but it's a good idea! I've never had an issue with trying to distinguish who said what in the past, as you've already done a great job with the origination points. That being said, when you show dialog but not the characters, as in the last panel, the color difference makes sense :) Can't wait to see what my two favorites Snoops are up to! Maybe the Principal is up to some hijinks? Or more of the BEST NURSE EVER(!)? What could interest both Millie AND Chole?

Chris Davis

Cor difference worked well for me. Thanks for that

Conor Duff

Awwww this is so sweet ๐Ÿ˜Š

Merjia

Like a lot of other people I didn't notice the differences in color until you mentioned it. I think you might've gone a bit too subtle this time around lol. But I'd say 99 times out of 100 the dialogue itself is clear enough to not really need colored dialogue boxes so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Especially when it's an all around excellent page like this one.

Snizzlefit

I only noticed the color change afterward. The dialogue itself gave enough context for who said what. Also I know others already said it, but Mary in panel 2 looks very sweet.

HungryOuroboros

I did not see this coming! quite nice turn!

Graci

You should tailor them to each character

Beforedawn

Text bubble color could be more recognizable, didn't notice until I read the authors notes. As someone else said, based on context I knew who was speaking. Need an after show pinup of Mary & Kayden busting some mutual feels nuts together. ๐Ÿ˜ธ

Jariah Synn

I would make the color difference a bit more noticeable. The character development is good tho.

KaijuWhite

This was...really kinda sweet (he said in a manly, butch way...). I wasn't that keen on the initial panels because I loathe bullying (yes - at school) but it's clever that Kayden is the one in control and s/he *does* feel something for Mary. Most interested in how the story is going to develop...

Alex Barton

Yeah, I didnโ€™t notice until you mentioned it either. In the second to last panel, youโ€™ve altered the bubble waves to show her calming down. Maybe an even smaller but still visible fluctuation in the line might work? Although that wonโ€™t help if youโ€™ve got two characters getting emotional. Hair colour? Blonde and blue outlines just for that last one?

Ally

Not Reinbach, obviously, but I believe it was stated that Kayden is in fact bi, but he gets nervous around women. Or something like that.

Patrick Liston

Sorry to say but I didn't notice until you pointed it out. Can't wait for the next page though.

Slaughterbug

A) I am super excited to see what Chloe is up to. She just gets me going. B) idk if the colors were super helpful, but from context it was obvious who said what.

MaximumHavoc

I would like to be hugged by a massive, muscular lady, please and thank you. Also her pouty face in panel 2 is adorable. Also Mary's comments ACCIDENTALLY coming off as bitchy is funny considering how ludicrously dominating they are. Also Kayden just kissed his own semen in her mouth XD.

ScuzzBucket

God these two are cute. And apparently, Kayden is turned on by mushiness?

GregD

I think the different colors is good, especially in scenes like the wide shot where you can't see the characters. It'd also be cool if every character had their own color of text bubble, but there's so many characters you might run out of colors lol

Abundance of Radishes

It's to subtle to notice I didn't know there was any color difference but it's a fun idea

alex baker

Hey. Question. Youโ€™ve obviously got kayden as a twink and heโ€™s openly hit on guys- but he and Mary are as close to an actual thing as Iโ€™ve seen in your work. I gotta ask, does kayden just put on a show or is he bi?
