Ronberku and Merlwyb
Added 2022-07-20 03:55:44 +0000 UTCMy thanks to Ronberku for being so patient with me on this commission, as I'd barely started it before I was stricken with the plague. This one features his eponymous OC getting it on with Admiral Merlwyb from Final Fantasy 14, a character I always thought was cool. She's basically a reformed pirate queen in charge of governing a major city. As always I love me some FF14 work, it being one of my favorite games of all time and everything. Mark my words, I'm going to find an excuse to draw something starring MY character one of these days. Just you wait! XD

2022-07-22 04:44:34 +0000 UTCThe racial naming conventions in FFXIV are particularly and notably robust. Merlwyb is from the Sea Wolf Roegadyn sub race, their names all conform to a rigid standard that is indeed influenced by Gaelic and Norsk.

2022-07-20 18:53:09 +0000 UTCThe 2013 relaunch (Realm Reborn) fixed a lot of major problems with the original release, and very famously has a free trial up to level 60. You can literally play the entire main story and the first expansion without a subscription, and it's a GOOD main story.
