By that I mean that while 99% of these strips aren't canonical, I try to avoid the characters learning any big revelations here that would change their personal dynamics in the main comic. In this case, that's why Kayden isn't going to spell out to Elianna that he thinks of her sexually, or that he regards the prospect of sex with her so highly, for that matter.
It's admittedly a weird connection I have between the main comic and these strips. The closest thing I can liken it to is all those pre-Disney Plus Marvel shows like Daredevil and Agents of Shield, and their relation to the main MCU movies. The events of movies affect the shows, but the events of the shows can't affect the movies. I better stop there before I make this any more confusing. Hope you guys are having a good Monday!
