Hope you guys will forgive me for making a somewhat self-indulgent choice of pin up character this week. Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3 is one of my favorite fictional characters of all time, and every couple years I like to take a shot at drawing her to see how much my skills have improved. If I say so myself the difference is pretty drastic this time, but you can see what I mean by clicking right here, it will take you to one of the earliest Hentai Foundry posts I did. And to my eyes now it looks so rough I can't believe it even got accepted at HF back then.

Anyhow the blog I wrote way back then still sums up why I like this character so much, though it is kind of sad to read about how I was excited for the upcoming sequel, that has since been cancelled. Turns out the future is a harsh and unforgiving place!

I went and found the worst artist on there I could find, and his oldest pics are from 2011, so at least as old as that :). Sounds about right, actually- I remember the days when you could only find cartoon smut by a Google search and some guy's random website.

Thank you! :)

Thanks man! :D

How old IS Hentai Foundry anyway? If not for a Joel Jurion post on Deviant Art a few years back I may never have heard of it, and I owe my current career to HF if I'm being honest.

I have to agree, she's much improved and every bit as hot!

Yowza- I'll make you a deal- you can be as self-indulgent as you like, so long as you produce content of this quality :). The stomachs you've been drawing lately have become so good I swear they're actually the highlight of your work now- I like how you draw tummies better than the BOOBS at this point! And you're GREAT at drawing boobs! SO MUCH DETAIL! The original drawing doesn't look so bad. Your early stuff has really sketchy lines (doing an archive crawl, it's very noticeable as you gradually get better), but the anatomy is on point, and the coloring is solid (if unspectacular), which is what they usually care about. But they were probably less picky back then, too- there's a handful of artists who were grandfathered in back in the day who probably wouldn't pass muster any longer.

I tend to agree! I think it's fun to mix up my more explicit stuff with something relatively subtle every now and then.
