2017-12-26 13:04:26 +0000 UTCI'm one of the people who saw them as just friends at the end. A kiss at the end would've been even worse. It would have been completely out of nowhere. Waiting until the final season to start adding in signs of them suddenly being bisexual is way too late.

That way it would have ended the same as The Last Airbender and would have been less subtle they were in love at the end. I swear I kept looking at people reading it as "just friends". The kiss would have left nothing to speculation.

The only real problem I had with it was that since Nickelodeon wouldn't even allow the characters to kiss at the end, the relationship lost some impact it really couldn't afford to lose.

2017-12-26 03:59:31 +0000 UTCI think they did enough. There were subtle hints in the last two seasons and it was something they really wanted to do but weren't confident the studio would allow. I liked it, though I wished I got more of them together as a couple, but that's what the comics are for.
