A lot of it was listed in the great "Console Wars" book, I believe- especially the stuff about the lawsuit (the lawyer who won Nintendo the case impressed them so much he's now the President- Howard Lincoln). That book is PHENOMENAL if you're into gaming, by the way- just absolutely captures that "early '90s" point where I would cut a bitch if he preferred Sega, and agonized over "Blast Processing".

I must be a super turbo-nerd, because I knew almost every one of those Donkey Kong trivia facts, except the one about Pauline :). And OMG- an Asian character! I was wondering if you were gonna try that with one of the newbies! I share your struggles with "Asian eyes", but I've found that if you make it the same as anyone else's eye, and then just draw in the inner corners with a greater "fold" for the eyelid, it can work. I'm definitely not that consistently-good at it, though. Weeaboos are funny, because actual Japanese culture is nothing like the stuff you see in anime. Apparently there's a lot of heartbroken nerds who come overseas and assume that anyone will act like the hyper-exaggerated anime character-types, and instead come across an island full of introverts :). Regarding eyeshadow, I think I'm the only one who vocally doesn't care for it- I'm not even sure why I don't like the look. It looks good in the early Switch comics, maybe because Casey's such a dark character. I just find the look too "80s" sometimes, especially if its anything but a dark color. It looks pretty solid here, though :).
