The scenario was I had just taken a chance by quitting my job as a CNC lathe operator in a small shop by taking a higher paying position at a much bigger factory. Sounded like a great idea, right? Wrong! The new job was a nightmare. Completely different than what I interviewed for. I quit after one day, and was left at square one with no college degrees or particularly marketable skills that could help me.
I had done a handful of commissions at Hentai Foundry at that point, but since I had to squeeze them around a 50-hour-per-week day job I'd never been able to turn it into real income. But I certainly had the time now. So I whipped up this picture and posted it with a title along the lines of "Commissions Now Open!" A more accurate title would probably have been "Hire Me or I'll Die!" but I didn't want to come off as desperate.
And the rest is history! Thanks to steady commission work and supporters like you I'm working a better job than I could have ever hoped for. And this shot of an iconic beloved character getting a humiliating facial will always remind me of how it all began.
