Extremely Off Topic - But I want to Share

Early last month, my sister (57) got a call from her doctor with test results. I don't know exactly what they found, but suspected she had endrametrial (Uterine) Cancer. she had to go in for a hysterectomy last Tuesday, and the doctor called this morning that she was Stage 1A - Cancer Free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Needless to say, this has been a massive load off all our shoulders!

Just wanted to post some good news, and I hope you are all doing well.

Very good to hear. My wife got that diagnosis in May of last year, suffered through six months of Chemo every three weeks to reduce the size of the cancer and then had the operation last December to remove it. She's still taking meds to mop up any remaining loose cells but getting better. This beats the heck out of my summer where I had to have radiation therapy to deal with growing numbers of loose cells after my prostatectomy in Sept. of 2015. Best wishes that your sister remains cancer free.

While not 100% the same thing, my mother had to go through a double mastectomy and drug therapy after being diagnosed with breast cancer...so I understand both the horror and the relief you must have experienced when it came to your sister. I wish her a speedy recovery and many more cancer-free years 😀
