Day One Island Time

8:30 am

It was the sound of the birds circling the water, and the smell of the ocean breeze that woke her up, and Padma cracked open her eyes, wondering where she was, and what woke her up?  It only took a couple of seconds for her memory, aided by the delightfully sore muscles all over her body, to remember just where she was and what had happened the night before.   Smiling broadly, she sat up slowly in bed stretching languidly before sliding out from under the light sheet that covered her.

Padding barefoot to the bathroom, she took care of her immediate needs and cleaned her mouth, grinning at the massive case of 'shagged seven ways from Sunday' look of her hair and make-up, before opening the potions cabinet for the contraceptive potion, only to see that there were only 3 vials of the potion ready.   Taking one of the doses, she stepped into the main room and her eyes widened, she smelled the Elixir of the Gods!  Following her nose to the kitchen where Dobby had a cup of the blessed bean fixed just the way she liked it sitting on the counter, along with a small plate of fresh fruit.

“Thank you Dobby, this looks perfect!” She said, picking up the plate and her cup.   The first time she spent time with Harry and Cho during the war, and Dobby had been the one to bring them food and supplies, she had been surprised at how courteous the two of them were to the elf.  It was completely different from the way her parents treated the family elves, but after seeing first hand how devoted Dobby was to Harry and, to a lesser amount to Cho, and how the little guy used his initiative to find ways to help them when they were hiding in the cabin and even later when they were split up and on the run, Dobby would still do what he could to help all three of them.   After that, she made it a point to be extremely friendly and courteous to all the elves she encountered, especially to Dobby.

Sipping her coffee, she walked to the open French Doors, and watched the sun come up over the horizon, enjoying the feeling of knowing that she didn't have anything that she had to do, no ass she had to kiss to try and advance through the ranks at St Mungo's, and it was glorious!  She already knew that she was going to accept the offer to be the Potter family consort, and then watch the pureblood bastards on the Board of Directors hurry to kiss her arse for being part of the family of one of the Twenty-Eight.  She was going to laugh in their faces and turn in her resignation.  She was awarded her Mastery of Potions by P.U.P.P.E.T at the Winter Solstice, even if Britain refused to recognize it, so she didn't need to take their galleons any more!

Waving the thoughts of MacMillan and his cohorts away, she stepped out onto the wooden porch and walked over to wear Cho and Harry were sitting, just as naked as she was, sipping from their mugs.   Sitting down at the open spot, she gave them each a grin, “If I lived here, I'd never want to go back to that sewage pit!  This is practically paradise!”

She noticed the two of them exchanging a glance before Harry smiled, “It's nice, and I'm glad that my mum and dad had it, but it would have been nice to have known about it growing up, or even when the war was going badly and we needed a place to recover.  Although the cabin we found did have it's attractions” He wriggled his eyebrows at her and she blushed, knowing he was doing it deliberately, try to distract her from his anger about how Dumbledore had kept knowledge of this island, and several other things from Harry as he was growing up.  It was only after Voldemort was dead that all of Dumbledore's secrets were discovered.  And there were a lot of very angry people waiting in the Headmistress' Office when Dumbledore's Portrait finally awoke.

Padma had heard rumors of the confrontation between Harry and his friends and the old man's portrait, where they verbally tore the old man to shreds for everything he had done to Harry and Neville, while protecting Snape and the others, making things needlessly difficult because he kept important information to himself.   Supposedly the old man was shocked that his journals were discovered, he apparently thought they were too well hidden.

With a flicker of annoyance, Padma brushed away the thoughts and said, “Well, I'm sure Dumbledore is paying for his crimes, so you don't have to worry about him anymore.  But I'm curious, what was that look between the two of you when I talked about not going back to the sewage pit?”

Harry gave her a wry grin, “Okay, it's a little early for politics, but you asked the question.  I'm well aware of the problems you are having at St Mungo's, especially with that pompous arse MacMillan, and Zach Smith and the others.  The same problems that Cho encounters, until they realize just who she is married to.  And who Parvati is paying higher taxes for her portion of the business than Lavender is, etc. etc. etc, All because of the fact that none of you are English.  Hell, your blood is purer than half the Wizengamot, but because your family isn't native to Britain, you're less than mudbloods to them, right?”

She frowned, “That was one reason I almost didn't go to the celebration last night, those pathetic bastards were hiding under their beds while we were fighting for our lives, seeing our friends lying dead on the ground, like Roger Davies and Kevin Entwistle, or Justin from Hufflepuff, all of them kids, none of them older than 17 or 18, and they bleed to death on Hogwarts lawn that morning!    I was so tempted to just draw my wand and start firing, show them what war and terror is really like!”

Cho reached out and put her hand on Padma's, “You aren't the only one who feels that way, Sweet Girl, and we are going to do something about it, but we are going to go through the system first.  We've been gathering allies, including Neville and his block of votes, and Andromeda, the new head of the Black Family, and several others.  We are going to be making changes, small ones at first, until we've changed enough that the whole house of cards will collapse on it's own!   So, want to join the revolution?”

There was only one answer to that question, and after she gave her eager agreement Harry started describing some of the moves they'd already made, and the next steps they were planning for the next few months, including taking up the Potter family seat.

It was after Harry had left to go over some of the bills that were pending that Padma said, “Do you need me to make anymore of the potion, Cho?  I saw there were only a couple of vials ready, and as much as we're going to be playing, they won't last the whole thirty days.”

Cho shook her head with a smile, “No, but thanks for asking. There's another case under the sink with more than enough to last you for the full month, and I stopped taking the potion a few weeks ago.  Harry and I are hoping I'm pregnant before we leave the Island.”

That led to a whole new conversation, and the two of them were still talking excitedly when Dobby came to set the table for lunch.

(Day 7 Island Time)

Checking the time, Luna set her paint pallet down on the stool and stepped back, looking at the painting critically, comparing the figure on the canvas with the live model.  Finally nodding, she said, “Thanks Ginny, you can move now.”

Ginny Weasley gave a sigh of relief and stretched, her nude body covered in shadows from the flickering torches as she climbed down off the makeshift platform where she was laying, her hands discretely covering her.   Walking over to Luna, she said “Can I see it yet, Luna?  Or is there still too much work to do?”

Luna gave her a wicked smile, “Are you that anxious to see the painting, or are you just looking forward to the completion celebration?  I know you Ginny, you don't care about the painting, you just enjoy the chance to have sexy times with all of us.  It's too bad that Harry and Cho are busy with Padma this weekend, I know they enjoy playing with you as much as I do.”

Ginny shrugged, running her fingers through her hair, “I know they do, it's just frustrating having to wait until they confirm the Dumbledore wife so I can take up my position in the family.  Even with the signed contract between Harry and Dad, and the Dumbledore coat of arms on my robes, Mum still gives me a hard time about coming over here.  To her, I'm some sort of Scarlet Woman, just because the last of the formalities aren't finished.  We all knew that I'd end up Harry's concubine, to pay for the two life debts the Weasley's owe, so why is she so shocked that I actually enjoy 'taking up my duties'?”

Luna shook her head, “I don't know, Ginny, your mother has always been a little strange about sex from what I can remember.  You'd think that a woman who has had as many children as she has would be aware of how much fun a proper shag can be.   But that's enough worrying about your mother.   I've made quite a mess with my paints and need to get a shower.  Want to help me with the hard-to-reach spots?”

Ginny's laughter was her only answer as she hurried up the stairs after Luna.

Island Time Day 11

Saturday Morning at Home

It had been an enjoyable ten days since they arrived and Padma wasn't looking forward to going back to England, even though the idea of what Harry and Cho and the others were planning was exciting on a completely different level.  She knew that it could very easily turn very bad for all of them, but the idea of fixing so many of the things that were wrong got her blood pumping more than almost anything had in the last few years.

Of course, just being with Harry and Cho was enough to get her blood pumping, but that usually led to needing clean bedding!  That was another thing she was coming to love, the way that the three of them started every morning with an enthusiastic shag, usually continuing from the bed and into the shower before they were satisfied.  But from the way Harry and Cho were talking, it sounded like they didn't slow down at all when they were back at home, although they didn't have the beach to enjoy when they were in the mood.

Padma did feel a little sorry for Dobby, because it always embarrassed him to see them shagging, but he was getting better about listening for sounds of sex before popping in.

She did love the casual atmosphere on the island, since they were the only humans there, they spent the majority of their time gloriously naked.  The only time they would get dressed was when they were working on individual experiments and wanted the protective clothing.  Each of them had their own interests and spent most of each afternoon involved in their own experiments, Cho was working on new runic combinations for transportation, and she was working on improving Wolfsbane, in memory of Professor Lupin, and Harry was off doing his experiments, but she wasn't sure what he was doing, and even Cho just shrugged and let him be.

From what Cho said, ever since Harry had killed Voldemort and gotten that chunk of soul out of his scar, he's been getting flashes of insight about magic and ways it can be used.  Things that nobody had probably considered since the Founders time.  She and Cho were both really curious about what he had come up with, but he wasn't ready to talk about it yet, not until he had a better handle on what he was doing.  He did agree to have Dobby with him when he was experimenting, so that the elf can get him out if something goes wrong.  He said that he wouldn't put Luna through that again.

Padma wasn't really sure what Harry meant by that comment, until Cho explained things and her heart went out to the younger girl, to be left so alone after it happened, and then going through what she did at school.   Padma was determined to get to know Luna a lot better when she officially joined the family!

Fortunately, today he wasn't doing anything but reading some old books that he was left by Sirius and meditating, so she spent an enjoyable afternoon in the fully equipped potions lab, examining various plants native to the island to see if they had any useful properties.

By the time Dobby popped in and told her that Dinner would be ready in thirty minutes, she had already thoroughly cataloged the properties of one of the plants, with two more to be examined!  Padma grinned in anticipation, she was going to have fun!

Stripping out of her work robes, she took a quick shower and washed her hands, making sure that all of the greenery was out from under her fingers.    Rubbing a towel over herself, she got rid of the remaining water and went out to the porch where dinner would be served.

Cho and Harry were both sitting down when she got to the table, so, after a quick kiss to both of them, she took her seat and picked up the mug of juice that Dobby had prepared.    Taking a sip she said, “Was wondering something earlier, when we were in your office that first night, you said you had tentative arrangements for the Dumbledore wife, but didn't say who you had in mind.   Can I ask?”

Harry shrugged, “It's Marietta Edgecombe, and it's only tentative because we want her to sit the Dumbledore seat on the Wizengamot, and she's not completely sold on our goals.   She's under oath not to reveal what we've talked about, and knows that the penalties are a lot worse than wearing the word 'SNEAK' on her forehead in pimples.”  He grimaced,

“No, that's not really fair to Mari, since Umbridge actually used the Imperius on her to make her drink the tea with Veratiserum.   She didn't want to tell anybody about us, but wasn't given a choice.   And we were all so angry that she wasn't given a chance to explain, not even to Cho.   It wasn't until the Umbitch was put on trial that it all came out.”

He laughed, “I've seen the Dementors kissing far too many people, Lucius, the surviving Lestrange brother, all the other marked Death Eaters, but Umbitch is the first one that the Dementor actually backed away from.  The thing had to be forced to give her the Kiss!  What does it say about her that one of the darkest creatures known to exist isn't willing to touch her?”

“But she's completely compatible with Cho and I, both with our clothes and without, it's just the politics that's holding up a formal announcement.   Ginny Weasley, who's the Dumbledore Concubine to pay the life debt she owes is getting anxious to get everything finalized, and the Consort Megan Jones is looking forward to it too.”

“Ginny Weasley, really?” Padma asked, “From what I remember hearing about Molly Weasley, I can't imagine she would be happy that her daughter is a concubine.”

Cho laughed, “Oh, you don't know the half of it!  I wasn't there, but from what Ron and Hermione told us, there was a screaming match for the ages between Molly and Ginny, and eventually Arthur had to use his authority as Head of the Family to get Molly to back down.   She still isn't happy about it, but at least she's quieter about it now.”

Further conversation was ended when Dobby floated the dinner platters out and set them on the table.

6:30 pm

(Day 19 Island Time)

Luna smiled at Kreacher as the elf put the plate of scrambled eggs with bangers and mash in front of her, along with a bowl of treacle for pudding.   She licked her lips hungrily and started eating with the enthusiasm of any Weasley, but much better table manners.    When she finished eating, she picked up that morning's copy of the Daily Prophet and started to read.

She frowned as she read the first few articles, and grabbed a Biro to underline several items.  Harry and Cho would need to be aware of the proposed legislation when they got back, because it needed to be blocked.  It was too bad that the Lovegood's never had a seat on the Wizengamot, because the extra vote would come in handy to ensure their plans were successful.

Not seeing anything else needing attention on the front page, and scanned the 'notable wizards and witches' section, and she swore!  “Damn that bitch!  Harry is not going to be happy with Rita about this, she broke their agreement, and that was a very dumb thing to do.”

Scowling at the picture taking up half of the inside page, a shot of Harry, Cho and Padma laughing, she didn't even want to read the two columns of speculation and innuendo that was Rita's specialty.   Forcing herself, she went over the alleged writing and the anger was turning to concern.  Rita was being far too blatant in her comments about Harry, and there were even a couple of sly comments directed at Neville Longbottom, which meant that Rita had found a protector, and she thinks that the protector has more power than Harry.   The bug was wrong, of course, but it added to the things that needed to be done before they could get started with their plans.

Moving deeper into the paper, she finally saw something on page 7 that made a slight smile appear.   It was a notice that several prisoners sentenced to Azkaban had died within the last thirty days.   She nodded when she came to the name of Cornelius Fudge, but when she saw that Draco Malfoy had finally given up and died, the smile widened.

“Excellent, Lucius has been dead for years, and now Draco.  That leaves only poor Scorpius to continue the family name, and with Narcissa and Astoria to raise him, they won't let him be a prat like his father.”

The smile changed, “And I'm sure that Harry would be willing to console the two women on their loss.  Narcissa really enjoyed the way Harry had consoled her about Lucius, and she wasn't subtle about wanting a repeat visit.  And I wouldn't mind having her between my legs again, she was either very experienced at pleasing other women or just a talented amateur, but she was almost as good as Fleur at using her tongue!

“And Astoria had been rather vocal, in certain circles anyway, about her dissatisfaction with Draco's skill as a lover, so she could easily be convinced to join Narcissa.  That would give them the Malfoy vote, and a good chance to convince the houses that followed Malfoy's direction.

“So, not a completely useless issue of the Ministry Mouthpiece, it did contain a few pieces of information that was useful.”

There wasn't a great deal that she could do with the information right now, not until Harry and Cho got back, but she could point some of the information out to Neville and Hermione so they were aware that Rita is up to her usual tricks.  Unfortunately the witch was clever enough to register her Animagus form immediately after the war, so they didn't have that to hold over her.

Walking over to the fireplace, she tossed in some floo powder and, as soon as the flames turned green, stuck her head in.   “Granger's Library” she called, knowing that Hermione would be reading at this time of the evening.  And it was only a couple of seconds before Hermione's face was in the flames and Luna was able to pass on the information, including the supposition that Rita had a new protector, which intrigued her friend.  After a few more minutes of polite small talk, Luna ended the call, satisfied that Hermione would put her brains and skills to work, to find out who Rita was hiding behind.

Brushing the last of the floo powder from her hands, she picked up the book she had been reading earlier and opened it at the marker.

Day 30 Island Time (Sunday Evening at Home)

8:30 am

Padma was a little surprised to find out that she was alone on the porch when she took her coffee and breakfast to the table.  It wasn't that unusual, it had happened a couple of times before, but Harry or Cho would mention something the night before.

Shrugging, she sat down and sipped her coffee, staring out at the waves.   She was going to miss the view quite a bit when they left the time compression and went back to England.  But Padma had to admit she'd had enough relaxation for the time being, she wanted to get back to work, even if the main reason was to tell of MacMillan and the others as she walked out the door.   If she thought they would understand what she was saying, Padma would love to be singing a song that she had heard one summer several years ago, but MacMillan wouldn't have an idea what 'Take this Job and Shove it!' actually meant.  Oh well, his loss.

She looked away from the waves at the sound of hurrying feet from behind her, automatically reaching for her wand.   It was seeing the huge smiles on Cho and Harry's faces that let her relax and stand to meet them.   Before she knew it, Cho had Padma wrapping in a hug, and whispered “We did it! I'm pregnant!”
