I ended up going with what I call the "Sylvia's House" color scheme for the background on this one. As I've said before I'm always looking for new color schemes to add to my tool kit, but sometimes it's also good to stick with what works.

She reminded me of a Megaman character as well. As for her appearance I think its' actually a like a separate section of her face, like a plate. Some of the reference images of her had more of those to make it more clear she was a cyborg but i couldn't resist the urge to make her body seamless.

The girl with the blonde hair, does she have a scar or something on the left side of her face? Can't help but think a little bit about some female Megaman characters when I see those two things on the side of her head.
