As you can see it was very close this time, although there wasn't much love at all for Star Trek TNG, can I ask if that was because of the suggested scene or if there just isn't that much interest in the series? If it was the scene/characters I'll think about something different, but if there just isn't much interest in the Fandom among my subscribers I'll drop it entirely
But, the winner of this week's poll is Ron/Cheer Squad, so keep your eyes open for a new story over the next several days.

That was my thought as well, but really, any Captain would do - after all, it's a holodeck!

Off the top of my head, another idea could be a young crewman (you can determine the rank, position, and/or ship) wants to learn from Starfleet's most famous captain(s), using the Holodeck to receive advice (and then other stuff, obviously!), or a starship captain uses the Holodeck to blow off steam after a bad day (mission gone awry, overbearing/condescending/belligerent Admiral issuing orders he/she disagrees with vehemently, food replicators on the fritz, and more/less) so they won't take out their anger on the crew...actually this one gives me an idea. Anyways, I hope this helps.

Maybe something about how Wesley is determined to lose his virginity before he leaves the ship, and has the holodeck provide scenarios where he seduces different female crew members?

2019-06-21 18:52:49 +0000 UTCPersonally, I feel that one of the reasons I wasn't particularly interested in the Holodeck Encounter is that it didn't seem imaginative enough - oh, sure, you most likely would've told a good/hot story, but Picard/Crusher is the regular couple alongside Riker/Troi (at least on the show, in the novel-verse they're husband and wife) and having it set on the Holodeck is like having Harry and Ginny get together in the Room of Requirement: it might be sexy, but it's not very interesting (also, while I might like both Picard and Crusher as characters, I'm not especially interested in their sex lives other than the fact that they have them). Also, I think that the Holodeck should be reserved for either crazy or unique pairings or for Room of Requirement-type sex things (after all, I think I read somewhere that the Room was actually based on/inspired by the Holodeck!).
