Aww I'm glad that you were drawn in by the colored bubbles! π₯°That's really cool that Swiss tv added colored subtitles, too! I think I first started doing them because of the aesthetics; I like to use a lot of color in my drawings, and white bubbles just felt a little too bland haha But now I mainly use them to help tell which character is speaking, and sometimes to help show what mood they're in (like with the grey bubbles for Alex when he was depressed) β¨
2023-05-06 17:36:16 +0000 UTCThe colourful bubbles in your comic book are the very first thing that attracted me in your graphic novel. It reminds me of the Swiss television subtitles of the 1980s: the main characters have their own colour to make it easier to identify them. This method is hardly used nowadays, as it is only suitable for long movies (and required too much work). What decided you to place colours into bubbles ?
