S T O R Y

The plan must not have gone very well, because Dex and Badger are now captured and bound together in the basement of the mobsters’ hideout.

“Hmm... I think I know some buyers who would be interested in these two..." A mysterious mobster says as he leaves the room.

“I hate you so much right now," Badger grumbles.

“What?!”

“How did you let yourself get captured that easily?! Are you even a superhero at all?!”

Dex huffs indignantly. “I am, actually! I have powers.”

“Like what?”

“I can heal from almost any injury!”

“And...?”

“What do you mean, 'and'?”

“No combat skills or weapons or anything?” Badger sounds incredulous.

“Uh, well, I have like this pocket knife.”

“You have to be fucking kidding me... So what was your plan then? Have them shoot at you until their ammo was empty, walk over there and stab them with your little pocket knife, hoping they won’t resist?” snarled Badger. "And here I thought you were a super hero! But it turns out you’re just some delusional boyscout. I could have just tied you up myself, stuffed you in a closet, stolen the tech and called it a day.”

"Sorry...?"

Badger sighs. “It doesn’t matter anymore...”

There is an awkward pause between the two. Then, after a moment, Dex pipes up again.

“So what do you think will happen to us?”

“Sold to some guy with really sick fantasies, probably.”

Dex pales. “Sick fantasies? You know what, I don’t want to know...”
