Arguably, starting from a Generalist Aura Foundation may give her the broadest variety of Aura enhancement and also may allow for the "easiest" transition into Aura related power ups such as Mega Evolutions and (probably) Z Moves.
Specialization has its strengths obviously, but if we attribute Ash's canonical anime bullshit to "unflavored" Aura enhancement/mastery, then there's *quite* a ways that one can go without it.
