Flint has been pretty staple in their day to day. All of this Brock being around more and dealing with Gym duties? Ripe opportunity for char development for all 3 of them

2026-02-10 21:57:20 +0000 UTCMaybe some Gyms will start to offer Mega Badges? Where you battle against a Gym's Mega Evolved Pokémon and if you win you get a special badge? ... Brock should totally offer that. A chance to face off against a Mega evolution would be a Big Deal. I mean, Mega evolution is timed, so the trainer would have to beat the pokemon before the megaevolution ends in order to say they truly "beat a MegaEvolution". But maybe they get to use more than 1 pokemon at a time to compensate? Or maybe it should be a challenge exclusive to people who have beaten the Bejeweled Badge if it's 1v1? Or maybe the challenger needs to have placed over a certain level in the previous year's circuit? That last one would work for drawing people back to Indigo/Kanto/Pewter even after they've "beaten" the region...

Not any actual weakness on Brock and Titans part, but yes I don’t think whatever she’s planning is going to win her the Bejeweled boulder badge. The only trainers to have won it are Brawly and Roxanne two trainers who were years older than Yolanda is going to be when she challenges, it just doesn’t seem feasible and could even cause critics to claim that Brock took a dive so I think Viva is going to have Brock win in the end.

I feel like whatever idea she has will either be something Brock has secretly covered (and never had a reason to reveal) or be something that's no where near as damaging/impactful as Yolanda thinks. Just... the idea that a 9/10year old (that's how old Yolanda was when she started hinting at having this plan) came up with to beat one of the top trainer's top pokemon actually working... seems far fetched even if Yolanda has been training extensively with Brock for the last year. I mean, what flaw could she see have slipped past Brock and all of his gym team for half a decade? And Sabrina and the others Guardians? Because all those people would have valid reasons to point out whatever flaw Yolanda spotted and give Brock plans or time to cover it. I'm not saying she can't have a good plan or have spotted a real flaw. I just think someone would have pointed out something by now if it was as big a weakness as Yolanda thinks.
