He does leave a gauntlet in the forest at some point. So he’s going to have to fight someone. My money is on the poacher guy returning. Then when Brock does get home he shows up again now an old man watching the joust/is a participant.

Maybe Brock can publish a children's book when he's back in his own time, of a "clearly exaggerated" adventure of a time travelling Rhyhorn, helping people and Pokemon while dressed as a knight. Most people will just think that he's adapting common fables of Pewter/Kanto, while some like Oak will be scratching their heads about the details, and wondering... meanwhile Brock, Sabrina, and Rhyhorn will be smiling mysteriously in the background.

No matter how much plastic/ditto surgery she gets to be younger I'm sure key elements of her aura would not change and this would give Brock an edge in recognizing her in the future.

2026-01-26 20:29:53 +0000 UTCI’ve been thinking of other time periods that Celebi could take Brock to and keep coming back to Ogerpon. Nobody knows where they came from before Kitakami. They both covered their faces with masks, due to looking different. Also, Ogerpon’s first trainer vanished with no trace after the Loyal 3 steal the masks. A story with plenty of possible time travel shenanigans and confronting Brock with a region new to him.

2026-01-26 19:37:55 +0000 UTCLove how Brock trolled the Blackthorns in the past, having been the one to have given Oak his Dragonite that all the past and modern Blackthorn's are afraid of and breaking their sole custody over the Pokemon line. Brock single-handedly did a huge amount of damage to Blackthorn ambitions by handing over that egg to Oak. I really want Brock to let Lance know this happened that he was trolling and bullying Lance even before he was born.

At first I was concerned that this arc was going to take chapters and chapters worth of time and be limited to when Oak was young and focusing only on Oak, but having Brock travel back and forth through different times is a great way to go where he can be present for the truly pivotal moments of Oak and other's timelines. Also will be cool for Brock to meet various characters like Agatha, Oak, Blaine, Surge, Giovanni, Sabrina's parents and his parents at different stages of their life. Also for Brock to see first hand parts of the war that have been censored and therefore not really fully dissected in this fic too much yet. It also adds a lot to the knight's mystery as he and his pokemon never age just appearing and disappearing at key moments. I am so curious to see what other events and people he will witness and what other info he will impart. Also can't wait to see the end result when he comes back to the future and it is revealed to all these people that Brock was the mystery knight that saved the day.
